For anyone copying this build I would highly recommend not installing the optional dust cover on the top exhaust panel; it will only increase system temps, and trap dust inside the case. Also, for a system this expensive you should use an LGA 1700 contact frame. These two things would likely bring down max CPU temps 4-6C.

4-6C is nigh meaningless for a majority of people. If you're at a point where 4-6 degrees is meaningful, then you might want to start looking at other coolers.

@@icanmakeeverythingilovedie9861 Oh, I completely agree. The "majority of people" don't really care about a 4-6C difference. But the "majority of people" are not buying $3700 showcase computers like the one in this video. I don't think it's a stretch to believe that people who are willing to spend nearly $280 on fans alone might want to take an extra 5 minutes of their time and an additional $15 to drop their temps a few degrees.

i spent $350 on 10 nf-a12's for my build, still have the filter on top with top aio on exhaust, don't have a difference in dust, don't really have dust inside, and it doesn't increase temps by 4-6deg with the dust filter on either.

Hopefully Lian Li makes a 420 Galahad. It'll go great with this case. If not, custom cooling would be the way to go.

Nice build. I did a build about 4 years ago in the EVO XL. I love the case. I do have a question. Are the fans on your radiator at the top set as exhaust?

Hi! The space is quite narrow, so the glass panels touch slightly. It seems like vertical installation would be a good idea💜🖤

I have the Lian Li Dynamic mini o11, it is a little wider than the EVO in the video, would it be possible to insert the 4080 aorus horizontally with the strimer plus v2 or with a cable mod?

I haven't personally used the Mini version, so I can't say for sure, but with the EVO, there are some tight spots for horizontally mounting the 4080 Aorus.

Did you have to take the plate off the back of the motherboard ? I can’t get some of the screws to reach the standoffs.

You don't need to remove the motherboard plate for the build, there's no issue with that. I just wanted to demonstrate in the video that the EVO case can be disassembled for height adjustment.

Hi! The thing is a single connector with 9 pins. Yeah! It's different from other cases, but it's compatible with standard motherboard specs, so you just connect it. 💜🖤

Wouldn`t there be a ton of heat going from the GPU in the CPU cooler ?? I see u have the fans of the cooler on the exhaust setting not intake ...

It's set up with a top exhaust AIO cooling system, prioritizing GPU cooling. 06:54 in the video, temperatures are already below 90C, which is quite good. Installing the radiator as a side intake could achieve a balanced setup in the O11D EVO XL case, with bottom intake and top exhaust likely proving effective. For an Intel i9, opting for a top exhaust sandwich configuration or even a 420 radiator seems like a solid choice. Even with a preferred cooling setup, the EVO XL chamber is already massive, resulting in generally great cooling results.

sir, is there a free 3x 120mm front fan bracket and meshed front panel from the box so you can replace the glass front panel?? this'll be my next case for my dream upgrade!

Thanks for your comment! It is not included in the package. However, the cooling seems sufficient already. I don't think a front mesh is necessary. 💜🖤

@@SNAPSHOTREVIEW my plan build was going to be a 360mm gpu rad like the aorus extreme waterforce future 5090 on the front as push/pull and also from the top cpu aio cooler push pull too. thats why this case is perfect for that

Yo! You can install everything as is, except for the three 140mm Noctua fans at the bottom. Ah, the next video will be the Lian Li O11 Vision. I'm planning to use the Lian Li P28 cooling fans for it👍

@@SNAPSHOTREVIEW so I could probably fit 3 120mm fans at the bottom. What I like about the Vision is the removable motherboard chassis can move up or down a spot to add one or two fans to the back panel.

@@SNAPSHOTREVIEW when you do your next build with the Lian Li Vision O11 you should do it with the Aorus Master or at least one of the larger EATX boards because the Vision is advertised to fit EATX boards but only up to 28mm

Ah! I don't use the top filter when overclocking or using a small-size chassis. However, I typically just use it. Moreover, it's too much of a hassle for storage.

lian li evo xl is designed for water cooling. but the built-in aio standard components that could be put in a standard case without using the full potential of the evo. so sorry but a waste of the case in my opinion
