Mr.Vidal is a treasure. Oh, if we could have had him for 8 years as president with a congress, following his agenda...what a different world it would have been. I can listen to him anytime and agree with most all he says, his honesty in telling it as it is. What a great American! p.s...I amazed at this (interviewer?) My oh my! If the superlative Gore Vidal not been the one there I think we'd have had a 15 minute show of silence. What in the world was she doing there?

What an awesome video. I do not agree with some things that this man says, but it is simply enchanting to listen to him speak. Although for me, he may be an enemy, he is the last of a dying breed. Shame

I'm a huge fan of GV, and I've watched dozens of interviews...I've never seen him crankier or more pessimistic...I'm thinking he wasn't well here...she was right to be scared of him, as she said she was...he was still awesome, as always...."New York Times, long may it wrap fish".

The submissive interviewer was almost unbearable. I know that I would have enjoyed a great conversation with Gore Vidal, but that never happened. And if you let a great mind get loose, this is what you get
