@@alancrome3684 Yeah, but that's what made it look appealing to petrolheads. Most of the hate probably came from the fierce Tifosis who ensure minimum mileage n that the cars sat on original tyres 15 years later. Compared to what LBW does these days, the F40 looked quite OEM. Somethin similar to the cars converted to LM spec by Michelotto. Also why someone like Joe Macari even put it in his showroom. He's known for trading unmolested and tastefully modded classic n current gen Ferraris.

I don't have time to watch the vid at the moment cause I'm at work. Obviously any time I can talk about when I went to Japan I'm gonna... I saw the notification though and just want to say, the people at Liberty Walk are some of the nicest people I've ever met. In the whole world. I went to Nagoya 6 years ago or so? (time flies) to visit there and they gave me TONS of free stuff. Free stickers, free DVDs, free food... I told them right when I got there "I'm sorry I can't afford to buy your cars or body kits, but I'd like to buy some shirts and stickers!" and I paid for a few things and they gave me tons of stuff for free! They said they don't often get many Americans there so they thought it was cool I went to Nagoya just to see them. I didn't get the chance to meet Kato since he was in a meeting, but he waved to me out the window and gave me a thumbs up! I'll remember that experience until the day I die. It was awesome. (Also the people around where their shop is in Nagoya are sooooo incredibly nice. You have to walk a ways from the train to get to their shop, so I walked by lots of school kids and older people out watering plants and almost everyone said hello and even a few kids stopped and asked to take pics with me 😂.)

@@hamsandwich3989 Do your car have so much power you need an additional 30% contact patch for a street car with 450hp max? I guess what the OP is trying express is that there are functional and subtle wide body fenders that extends 10 to 15cm of clearance like the origin labs/vertex kit, Yashio Factory and Rasty kits for the S-chassis, just look at the zn6/zc6 for example since that's when bolt-on kits like this targeted for culture exportation(tra_kyoto's rocket bunny,Pandem,Rowen,Rallybacker...etc)took off after speedhunter's coverage and NFS2015's influence on the gen z generations. And then there are kits like Varis Arising II, Blitz Aerospeed, Ings+1 N-Spec, AKEa and the Revolution front fenders that came one-piece without the need of cutting up the OEM fenders and are often intented for weekend TA Sessions. But of course like how the sayings goes, These kit did a damn well job on the target demographic they intended for, and this speaks volume on the split between how two different generation's evaluation of car culture.

Great video, I just noticed two things: When James says "Blues Traveller" a clip of the Blues Brothers pops up, and when he says "Nissan GTR and Ferrari 458" a Lamborghini pops up instead of a Ferrari. Other than those minor issues, great job. Oh. Also, poutine should never have green stuff on it, Nolan. But halfway decent "Canadian" accent!

I was expecting the F40 to be Bosuzoku wild, and that terrified me. But the actual product outstanding! I agree that the F40 is best left unmolested, but of any mods to do, he essentially gave it the FXX treatment and I respect that.

I fcking love the McLaren 650 with the widebody kit, it's my absolute favourite car in Forza Horizon 5 (and FH4 where i first came to Forza). It looks so damn sick with the great McLaren balance between sharp cutting lines and smooth flowing curves, with the bodykit bringing extra details throughout the bolts, adding to that McLaren design balance and also just widening that badboy to perfection. And then the spoile- no sorry, the wing- actually no, sorry again, THE WANG! Ohhh let me tell you about the WANG, it's so fckn sick, and again, LW designed it so oh sooo so perfectly to fit with McLarens design philosophy, by being a balance between a huge high performance wing for function and a decency of stylish addition of a spoiler. It's perfect. The fckn car with the bodykit is perfect. Also im not really a lambo fan, i think they mostly look to stale and out of date with their weird stealth-fighter-jet only-sharp lines design, but hell ye im not gonna say no to a fckn Huracan or murcialago with a damn LibertyWalk widebodykit! That shit is fire! And you know, perhaps fitting in with the LibertyWalk philosophy, i love to drift supercars/hypercars. The LibertyWalked McLaren 650 is my absolute favourite driftcar as well. With LibertyWalk i dont just drift, i LibertyDrift! (sorry for that last line xD)

Been waiting for this one. Liberty Walk really stand out among body kit makers to me, they just capture the perfect spirit and essence of performance car ballsiness. I love how they keep coming back to the R35 and re-imagining it, but that Miura is my favourite, probably, especially in red and black Advan livery. Not everything I really needed to get up to speed on Liberty Walk, though. I'm still dying to know what Liberty Walk actually means. I mean sure, freedom to customise and express yourself and stuff...but Walk? not Liberty Drive? Why? Pretty sure most customers don't want to walk. Is Liberty Walk an actual place? Does it have another meaning or association? It's just a weird name. Also, perhaps this is too hot a take, but while I love their designs I think their branding is godawful. A superman logo ripoff and a moonlogic abbreviation of Liberty Walk to LBWK...this could be a great deal better.

It's simply inspired by the race cars of the past! Most race cars had riveted fenders to make it easy to fit wider wheels/tires. *FUNCTION OVER FORM* On a street car it looks cheap and rather ugly though. It's not a proper widebody!

My opinion on this is that there’s a time and place for just about every aspect of car culture. The dude had a Ferrari F40. He wanted to change it. That’s his decision and it was cool. But when the modifications take over the priceless originals then I think they’re problems. Same thing as with electric vs gasoline.
