Great demo - the intro track is 🔥 Bite switch, cut and gain are really interactive, btw: the bite routes certain frequencies around the gain pot - so the higher the gain, the more subtle it is. What it basically does is setting the gain to max for certain frequencies - so if you run gain low and flick the switch you’ll get a really punchy and aggressive sound and with the gain maxed out you’ll hear no difference - and everything in between! Also pretty much all of the assumptions were dead on: gate, defeat and vintage modern are MIDI-controllable and it works great with modelers in defeat mode - which is extra cool as most modelers have a MIDI out. Really glad you like it! (Also this episode was hilarious! Arnold and Jon segments had me laughing out loud 😁)

I really like how this amp sounds! Lichtlaerm is right that intro track was really good with this amp. Very rich sounding! I got to do more homework now. I got room for 2 more amps with all these new releases it is killing me. Never had it so good back in the day when I was growing up through the mid 70's to 80's. It is a really good time to be a guitar player. Awesome amp!!!!

I do like me an Amp with toight knobs. Nothing worse than a slight breeze being able to move your settings. Even tho their tones are different- I get the feeling of the Revv Gen 120 in the gain structure. The Prometheus is a bit more boxy and boomy like a Marshall, but with that similar ultra sharp modern gain structure in the Revv. I think the Prometheus vs Revv Gen 120 is a juicy sounding proposition.

I have a single channel clean/low gain amp by Red Seven called the Kali Mk II that is sort of a Vox/Trainwreck style amp (very vintage), but it has the 3 way bright switch exactly like this amp. Neutral in the middle, high mids on the left, higher highs on the right. I wonder if this is some sort of old British style bright switch? Maybe found on old Vox or Hiwatts or something? Great demo, by the way. Eased my concerns about this amp a little. lol. It sounds much better here than in the other demos on KZfaq so far.

It’s a really versatile circuit and everyone has their own taste in dialing it in - one thing that people need to be aware of is the unique taper of the presence knob: where you’d run it on 1-2 o' clock on other amps you’ll get that amount of sizzle around 11 here already 🙂 The bright switch is a pretty common way to implement - it just has a bigger range and goes into the high mid territory on the Prometheus 🙂 The production model has up & down positions, tho: the one here is the NAMM unit that had the switch turned 90 degrees - we changed that afterwards 🙂

They’re between 2699 & 2999 as you can choose your own power amp configuration and looks 🙂 The one in the video is closer to 150W, actually 😅

This thing did not disappoint! It’s crazy how Daniel is quite obviously “for the customer”. He sent these amps out to all the KZfaq guitarists who are honest and are capable of doing the amp justice. If Jon didn’t like it he would absolutely let us know but all I hear is positivity which is awesome! Great video! And thank you for still boosting the amp I really enjoy hearing a variety of boosts regardless if the amp “needs” it or not.

That's my approach here! I'm also sending one to Henning: it may not even be his cup of tea but he finds something to bitch about in every amp - and if there's something that people should be aware of I want them to know - getting an amp like this should be an educated decision: helps both customer and us in the end :)

More saturated than the EVH Steslth 100 to my ears. It sounds like the venom I'd imagine the Stealth 100 with the Mr Scary mod would bring. What an amp! Great demo, Jarrod. Thorough and straightforward, as always. Hoping for a shoot out. Can't wait for the ToneX capture pack!

Hey Jarrod I need some advice , im.looking at a 50 watt 5150 , I found a good deal on el34 for 750 but was thinking stealth , I normally like 6l6 , but hard to find deal on stealth, is there alot of diff between the 2 I know 34 Lil darker , any thoughts on the 2 amps

Not to take anything away from your demo, stellar playing and great review, but who do we think we’re kidding? All our high gain amps pretty much “all do the same thing”, right? :-)

I get what you're saying, but I honestly think that even though there's a lot of similarities between a lot of the High Gain amps that we play, I think it's the Nuance that makes them different from each other and once we pick up on those slight differences, that's when we find out what we really like. Again, I do get your point of view.

I believe the pickups are the John Petrucci signature picks. Rainmaker and dreamcatcher or something like that. Same pickups he has in his Majesty guitars

Man I keep forgetting to ask about your delay settings, is that still the HX Effects on that demo? What delay model are you using dual delay? I'm starting to run stereo to FOh and looking for something that can do the strymon dig or the boss SDE type delay...but I didn't wanna pay $600 just for a delay pedal 😅

I used the flashback 2 delay pedal now. I love it. I set the delay for leads around 850 milliseconds
