I am small KZfaqr, and I think that for small channels the most important thing is to get good presence from the beginning. If you are not popular, people won't care even if you have the best videos and the best content on platform. I am not beginner anymore, but I know how hard it can be (and honestly if I didn't use a lot of Fame- ster, I would have quit a long time ago. It made everything much easier for me, especially getting to 1000 subs and view hours).

Thank you Katie for dispelling so many of the lies out there about growth on KZfaq. I'm Canadian too and I refuse to believe that vlogs are dying! My one-eyed rescue dog and I enjoy making them every week, even if we are a small and humble Canuck channel! It's all about being happy and helping to make others happy in the process! A small reach is better than no reach at all! 🤗 P.S. I love what you said about the value of music because I spend a lot of time pairing the right piece of music with the mood/sentiment of each vlog and I know our viewers appreciate it! 😊

I WISH my homepage on KZfaq would show more vlogs. Lately, it only shows a very limited range of specific kinds of videos that I've watched before, and most times, even if I try scrolling right and down, I just get repeats of the exact video suggestions that appear on the top line. I'd love for YT to share more vlogs with me. Thanks for this, video, too .. great pep talk for someone who's been working behind the scense for farrr too long, with a lot of jitters, getting ready to publish my own videos. :)

something you could try that I discovered recently - along the top of your home page you'll see a list of buttons that are different topics (mine say stuff like "van life" and "travel" and if you scroll horizontally to the end, there's a "new to me" button - it will show you reccos you haven't seen before! there might be some good vlogs in there!)

Vlogs are not dead. KZfaq is a community and I think that the smaller channels have more authentic audiences and more meaningful interactions. The more transparent and honest your channel, the more people you will attract because there are so many people out there looking for connection and they just want to see people doing real life like them. They don't care about perfect thumbnails, ambient lighting or hashtags, they just want to see LIFE.

I make vlogs on my channel and I've seen a lot of growth this year by maintaining a consistent upload schedule, however, I noticed that the algorithm sometimes suggests my videos to content that is random and completely unrelated. Do you know why this happens?

Authenticity is everything in my view... I don't need scripted content, or exaggerated personas, performance etc. Just be yourself and deliver value in the form of genuinely interesting content, even if it does happen to be a niche interest. There are 7.5B people on the planet... there are likely millions of people interested in the same things you are, or share your world view, etc. etc.

Hello, so what i do is look on KZfaq for covers of that song, i either screen record or use a KZfaq Converter to download audio. Also, i use free sites like Thematic music where you copy the link after downloading and paste on your description. You don’t get copyright. I hope this helps @kitKrafts

Anyone with camera knowledge know (or think) the opening video is the same camera and lens set up as usual? Maybe my internet connection is a bit better today or something, but I haven't even got to the content yet because the video looks so freaking clear.
