The music you are listening is called as "Kirtan", which means the praises of God. It includes the hymns and writings (called Shabad) of Sikh Gurus and other saints. When you go inside, you can see/read these Shabads on a Blue Board, and the meanings are translated right below that Shabad. Uh can also go for the Live Kirtan from Sri Harmandir Sahib. The original name of Golden temple is Sri Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar, which means the temple of God.

Nice video n thing about shivers is actually true as majority of people feel that unknown energy when they enter the premises of golden temple especially with the hymns being sung in the background. Also i think you needed better guide to understand this religion n this place.
