If you zip tie the grids together, you can just unfold it like a concertina (just leave the last one open - you can clip this one). That's what I do for their indoor run when it's cage cleaning time!

Great tip! I have four sets of three grids cable tied together which still gives me flexibility to use the grids for floortime etc when I don't make one big pen ☺️

Its heartwarming how you care for your little ones. Are there no birds of prey where you live? I really wish I could do this too, but where I live it would be like setting out lunch for the Red Shouldered hawks around my property. Instead i keep a patch of unmown grass, cutting some and bringing it in to them. I use a huge cornflakes box and an old kitchen knife, and when they see the box they get so excited! Its the freshest thing they eat, and what's more... its free. No pesticides or herbicides in my lawn btw.

Thank you, and there may be some, but we don't leave the pigs unattended, I'll probably get them a covered run next year so we can leave them out for longer 😊 Great idea on the unmown grass, they love it nice and long too! 💚

Always loved watching a guinea piggies I have five now down 25 Donna recently passed away snowflake passed away he was my hamster and I hope you keep making videos because the other five guinea pigs love it

Oh, you are so lucky you get to live in the country! I'm so happy for all of you!!! 🥰🥰🥰I agree with getting rid of the wallpaper and carpet in the new piggy room, but you might want to rethink getting rid of the closet (cupboard). I don't know about the UK, but here in the US you can't call it a bedroom unless it has a window and a closet. So taking away a closet would essentially take away a bedroom which would reduce value of the home. Plus, you can never have too much storage.

Appreciate the advice! I'm a little on the fence, but I think the idea of having a large L-shape cage is going to win out 😆 We don't tend to have the same rules about bedrooms and closets here, at least not in older houses 😄

It is very special to have your house backing up to nature! Hee hee, I was expecting way worse wallpaper and flooring but I guess I was just experiencing flashbacks to our kitchen before we removed the fruit themed wallpaper in blues, red and peach! But you will conquer! The texture of your paper is undeniably bothersome. The piggies are as adorable as ever and looking very comfortable in their new home. Hi Sarah aww you have a lovey view so jealous as all is more houses and a small garden but my piggy’s do enjoy going out and eating the grass. From Saturday 16th September am off work till 3rd October so going to Scarborough for a few days my piggy’s are going on hoiladay too they going to our local Guinea pig boarding place who take really good care of them they have Guinea as pets themselves and use the same vets as I do. Am sure your piggies will love they new room they very luckily having you as a owner xxx

Your yard and view from the window OMG!! We too may be looking for a new home in the upcoming months. My girls and furbabies are gaining a new member and he is bringing with him his furbaby. So their will be 4 of us and 7 pets! Looking for a place with a extra room or upstairs living space for our piggies cage. I love my home right now and its in the country, but it may be to small

You can also take the wall down ,where the closet is and have an enormous place for your office and piggie room .

Hi Sarah, A great sized room and lovely and light, see what you mean about the wallpaper, carpet, doors etc but all fun getting it exactly as you want it- there’s no rush. I have one of those deep plastic storage boxes I call ‘the piggy bus’ which is great to transport them outside all together if you line it with a fleece blanket or pad- it’s a bit more rugged than a box I find and has a rim to make it easier to carry! What a lovely piggy day ❤How do you like your whirly washing line? I love ours . Enjoy your weekend- very wet and rainy ☔️ here in Devon! xx

Exactly, thank you Jemma! And I love the idea of a Piggy Bus! The carrying part especially, genius! 🤩 The washing line has been great, don't know what we would have done without it! It's my mum who calls it a 'whirly bird' 😂. And yes, goodbye summer, hello autumn and fingers crossed for less rain and some sunny autumn days to come 🥰 xx

Congrats on your new place. The scenery is stunning!!! Looks like they are acclimating well. I have a question for you. I know I’m a bad Guinea mom being I only have one but I have had her now for 2 years and I don’t work and spend my days with her but, my question is can she have too much space? She has her own room that is set up pretty cool but then I thought maybe too much space. Asking you as the Guinea pig queen.😀

Great to see you've all settled in well and the piggies new room, once configured to your taste will be great - fabulous size. Garden looks great too, my grass is very weedy but i also realised they don't eat the not so good stuff. I'm hoping for at least one more day of putting them on the grass - which they love. Hiya! I've seen that in the UK, pigs can live outdoors all year round, but some rescues won't rehome to outdoor-only homes. Can you comment on why it is/isn't advised to keep them outside full time? Thank you. Ps. Congrats on the new digs! The view is incomparable.

Ah I could do a whole video on the topic but don't think it would be very popular with the vast majority of my audience! I recommend following and watching videos by Catherin Manning (older videos not vlogs), Think Media, Film Booth, Nate Black to help you grasp the basics and the idea behind what makes a good channel. Then just start and stick at it - a video a week, every week. You need to be prepared for a lot of work, for a long time (years), before you see any monetary benefit or reasonable numbers of people watching. And you need to be constantly trying to improve too. It's a big commitment but if you're prepared to put in the hours its a great thing to do!

what a great garden for the piggies! buttercups are a real pain - get them out by the root as they can really spread overground (i love them to look at but try to keep them in check so piggies don't accidentally eat). will you do a custom/wood cage or c+c ? we went from a 3x4 to a L shape 2x6+2x2 - piggies love it 💗

Beautiful! Question: does the F10 disinfectant you recommended kill salmonella & ringworm? Would it work on our tile floor if we let them out there to roam? Does regular detergent in laundry kill salmonella & ringworm when we wash their fleece, bedding & towels or are we risking it spreading to our clothes etc?

Hii Sarah! I love your channel so much and it’s literally all I watch at the moment 😂 but I did have a question: Soo I’m fostering two adult female piggies and I’ve had them for a week now! I do regularly clean their enclosure but they get so scared when I have to pick them up and put them in a different location so I can clean everything properly. I just feel so bad because I feel like as soon as they trust me, I traumatize them or something when I have to clean their enclosure! I just wanted to know if you have any advice for me and how to get past this issue and how to deal with my feelings on it!

Once again, what a view. How is Phoebe doing after her surgery? Any tips on how to trim my one girls nails? She hates it and bites me each time. She hasn’t broken skin but I do get bruises. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you Linda! Hmm a nibbler, perhaps you could wear gloves on one or both hands? Or distract her with food? Best thing might be to get someone to help and wrap her up in a towel with one foot poking out at a time, oh the joys of struggle pigs! 😆

@@SqueakDreams I try food but that doesn’t help. I guess I will try the towel method. Your new house is wonderful and even though it needs work, you will be able to make it yours! Your yard is beautiful but will require a lot of upkeep. Maybe the piggies can help maintain it 😂😂😊😊

Hey I got some boys (Squeak and bubble) nearly 1yr old they are tame I guess but they kind of spook at me coming in to the room and stuff and I kinda want them not to and I want them to get use to my voice if not it’s fine but do you have any tips? x
