Hi Irene. Thank you for the video. As a Lebanese American living in the US, I am always hopeful to retire one day in Italy. I call it my home away from home away from home.😂 Nespole tree is loquat. Has so much benefits. The leaves can be brewed and drank as tea. Helps with reducing blood sugar. The flowers can be brewed to alleviate cough. Tell your mom to use fish manure for her flowers. They love it.

Oh my god I can’t believe I came across your channel,my wife and her family is from vibo Valentia..and this is where we always do our shopping when we visit from UK 🇬🇧 am planning to come spend three months in VIBO to clean an overgrown family property..thanks for taking the time to show how beautiful southern Italy is as it’s class as the forgotten and people tend to believe the only place that exists in Italy is Rome,Tuscany and the alps area..I LOVE SOUTHERN ITALY 🇮🇹 keep showing it and god bless you..❤

Actually yes you can find walnuts in the supermarket in the U.S.. In the grocery store I go to, they’re often loose in a box and you take how many you want and weigh them in a bag. The bread on the other hand, no. I’m so jealous of that selection you have! All those gorgeous loafs of bread that aren’t loaded with artificial junk. That looks like heaven!

Fascinating! I Love the jar of Bomba hot chilli haha. How do you eat Mousse of Onion? On bread? As a pickle or chutney? Perhaps next video you can show us how you prepare some of the different products. We have net bags of Walnuts in the UK but only in the supermarket at Christmas time in UK. Can you film some Festa with music and fun?

Buona sera, Irene. Thank you for another video. You really do a great job showing the types of foods commonly seen in a Calabrian supermarket. I did not realize that spicy is so popular there. Also, your father always seems very calm and mellow (calma e dolce). Italians like to yell, but your father always seems very relaxed and "chill." 🙂 Lastly, as someone studying Italiano, you taught me a new word today: essiccare (secco, secca, secchi, e secche). Irene I don't know where to start. I watch a lot of KZfaq. It's how I learn before I travel to a region. You're such a lovely young woman and love to see you and your father and your mother. My daughter is 28 and I am 70 and we like to travel together. I have always had a dream to own a home and live part of my life in italy. For the last 8 years I have been living in Chang. Mi, Thailand and I love it. But the Thailand government has decided to begin to tax us old people. So so I have decided to travel 6 months out of the year.. To prevent them from claiming me as a tax resident. My plan is to live 3 months out of every 6 months in Italy and do the same traveling back to Thailand. I have been watching videos to decide where to travel and look for my new home.. Thank you for your videos they are a wealth of information.

I miss my dad just watching this! One thing I noticed is that Italian alphabet is written just like English alphabets? Or Roman characters.. which is one less of a worry when going to Italy.. I can read Italian 😅 I just need to study and understand the language itself. 😊
