I am old enough to remember those brakes...here in the US, we called them coaster brakes. as they only worked only on the back wheel, we could abuse the bike by slamming on the pedal to skid around corners. do it enough and the valve stem got crooked.

Jack is getting big! But still just a puppy. A big puppy! Thanks for sharing another day with us in the country. The garden looks nice with green grass and everything blooming. When I was a kid, my bike was braked that way too, by pushing the pedal backwards. I had forgotten about that. And back then, our family had German Shepard dogs, too. Thanks for stirring good memories from many decades ago.

Jack is going to be a big strong dog. Looks really happy. As for the bike, that's how all bikes had brakes. You only saw the rim brakes controlled from the handle bars on fancy expensive 10 speed or 12 speed bikes when I was a kid. People have forgotten how things use to be.

What a great video! Jack is getting so big and he looks so happy too. I’m glad you guys are safe. It made me laugh about the brakes on the bike. It makes me feel a little old though. That’s how all the bikes braked when I was a kid. Please tell your mom her flowers are gorgeous.

Jack looks full grown. He is a great looking German Shepard dog. Also here in the US we have both kinds of brakes on bicycles. “Hand brakes” and the kind brakes your bicycle has, where you pedal backward.

Jack is beautiful. His paws are so big! Bikes with the "coaster brake" are only 1 or sometimes 3 speed drives. I have an old 3 speed with the brakes like that. The leaves hanging by the door look like Maple leaves.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a piece of lettuce, a hot pepper, or a piece of meat…..she will eat it. Great markings. Please stay safe! When I was young my bikes had coaster brakes like you have on your bikes. I think they make more sense than hand brakes.

Hi, You Guys! You're one of the most beautiful and blessed family's I know! I just got back from a month in CZ - Visiting friends in Benesov u Prahy. Weather was perfect - saw many great sights and shows/performances.... Kids graduating from schools - the whole time, I wanted to come to UA, but was paranoid about getting stuck there if the offensives started and got really hot. Praying every day that you have peace - as soon as you can. What a great dog Jack is becoming! Take good care of yourselves!

Yes he may have a gene in him that makes growth more essential but at a point that will defer to normal and he becomes your best friend and guard dog. He is a beauty but then all pups are cute till about 1 year old . Cheers Pavlo and Luba for sharing.
