P.S. Did you know that Chiropractors are actually energy workers? The adjustments are coincidental to what they are really doing, which is clearing the body's energy passages, so it can do what it was designed to do, heal itself.

I definitely recommend you both starting a business together. You both just came from Japan and can still look with fresh eyes to your local Canadian market. Think of any Japanese product, service or ANYTHING and just write out business plans. You both understand the Japanese language, have local contacts there AND a different way of thinking. It could be anything and could literally just start with selling a variety of Japanese snacks in a box. Good luck in your journey!

Permanent residence took 9 months for Sara from Ark.. it would normally take six months.. but I found something that allows me to work from the heart, offering a sense of purpose right off the scale, fulfilling, and something only 5 years in, joy generation...

why doesn't Mayu get a job at a Japanese restaurant like every other working holiday visitor in Toronto? There are lots of other people in the city with zero English skills too who have jobs. Just curious what she expected to happen when moving to a new country without the language ability.

😂😂😂 Yah. She was offered some sushi jobs. She is not confident and doesn't want to work until she find something that she feels she can so. She might actually be working in J town hopefully. 🙏

There are jobs that don't need much English. I run an airbnb business in NZ and have hired a number of housekeepers who have very limited English. No major issues. Key is to find a hotel with a good staff culture. By making friends with colleagues, English level will naturally improve.

If money wasnt an issue i would. But with my aging parents and my low income in Japan I think its a tough option. Life there is much more fun and interesting though.

Nice little update, and I am also glad that you are back in Canada. We get to hang out again regularly after many years. You also live very close to me now too so that is awesome! Any transition has its challenges and ups and downs, but if there is one thing I know about you, you're the transition king! You live a very adventurous lifestyle so to me this seems somewhat normal in your case! Hopefully one of those government jobs come through eventually, but keep applying for more if positions open up. There is always new jobs to apply for!

Welcome home. If you ever come to Ottawa love to meet up. I’be moved back from Japan 3 years now. But miss it. Not the work life but everything else. I sorta had the opposite job there where I worked all the time. Was nice to come back to Canada and take my foot off the gas pedal. But I do miss the people and my gf. I haven’t seen her in almost 4 years. 😢 anyways yah. Keep going buddy. You’ll get there

WOW ! You are doing the same path that I did when my wife and I came to America. I was willing to do anything just not to have to touch my savings. I went from Bank Call Center to security guard and finally to a government job. TBH, even though the government job was by far the best, they were all brutal jobs. Without the support from a Japanese wife, I would/could never have done it. Took early retirement and retired ASAP and always invested in very safe low return things, because I knew I would never survive a personal wealth crash. Just tuned out all the hype and so glad I did. Japanese women are great about saving and very careful about any sort of online transacting as well. My wife had worked in banking and brokerages and she understood some of the terminology and concepts and scams in Japan.. I was lucky. The worst was a call center at a huge and infamous bank. I don't want to mention any names , but WELLS FARGO is a real scumbag outfit. At our training completion ceremony (about 200 people), they actually had the gall to tell us (onstage, yet) that most of us would not last a year. I am not kidding. I decided to join "the enemy within". I cannot elaborate other than to say "subversion" and cut corners at every turn. Speed was survival. Since then Wells has been charged with nearly every type of banking fraud ever dreamed up. I am not surprised. You cannot make this stuff up. But hey it's America. Hope Canada is better. Get that government job. You have way more protections. Canada also has healthcare that is not tied to an employer. It is much better.

Hey. Wow. Amazing journey and I am glad you ended up where youndid. Yes i want to get into government as well and hopefully do an early retirement. Once Mayu starts working as well I think things will get much better. Until then I will keep on truckin. Have a good holiday season!!

You know something Ozzy, it was a very long time before I learned how to believe in me... and guess what, the path to Believeinyourself is any kind of action, especially imperfect action.. Verizon is an American carrier.. but I worked at a call centre for 3 years, and did have to zone in to consistently get superior numbers.. but dealing with them 'Mericans, they can be crazy, and confident, despite being blissfully unaware that there is more than just one county on this planet.

Ozzy, your relationship capital with me will never run out, and who the f*ck am I,, It is Robert Olddude of the Three Old Dudes. Doing Tai Lopez 's 67 step program allowed me to discover a love of writing, and my love of people has resulted in friendships with thought leaders and business leaders, because of how I engage from the comments. I was awarded the title Comment King by a very established Southern Gentlemen by the name of Billy W. Merritt, who handles the text message marketing and Facebook marketing for over 2000 dealer groups.. addicted to joy, and loving on my friends, it keeps me living within reach moment.
