This movie made me cry. Just like Fantasia, I grew up dealing with colorism. Being bullied for being “ too dark “ and for being skinny. I also was unfortunately a victim of SA’d by a guy I thought I could trust but I didn’t get pregnant. Through the grace of God, I managed to make it through college and get my degree despite what I went through. I love Fantasia’s music and her story really motivates me to keep pushing because it gets better. ❤️

This is a good movie..I don't care who doesn't agree ..She was young, she gave herself up just to keep a man that used her but she thought he loved her, she got pregnant young she dropped out of school her family turned on her cuz she was pregnant, she had a asshole of a man/ baby daddy..But she became strong she faced her family, she kepted her daughter, she lefted her man/baby daddy..She never gave up even when she wanted to give up..She pushed herself to do better , she went after her dream and she reached it..She shows girls out there that u can change ur life and u can reach ur dream whether ur a mother or not its never to late to follow them..I love this movie and she deserves it all..You go fantasia and thank u for sharing your story with the world and showing us that you can do it...

Back in middle school and elementary I used to get picked on for my high voice my lips and sometimes for being girly later I found out I could sing i watched dream girls and Beyonce came on and I let my sparkle shine. I got so many rude comment from family members saying boys don't sing do something manly but I'm gay 👬👨❤💋👨so all ik how to do is sing i will forever let my sparkle shine being different is not bad but life isn't a fairytale
