So we got some new potential rumors/news update on "Life Is Strange 4" and the future of Life is Strange which could see the return of our beloved protagonists Max and Chloe or could we see once again some new characters and locations. Could we see a NEW Playable Characters in a new life is strange game. I discuss the latest info for Life Is Strange 4 which may have the return of Max and Chloe! Rumors and Leaks state there is a likely chance that Max and Chloe will return in the next Life is Strange game after Life is Strange True Colors. It appears Deck Nine Games and Square Enix may be working on another "Life Is Strange" which will likely have new characters and locations. There is an argument that Lis4 is a story where Chloe is dead. Because, if you played Lis BTS (before the storm), at the end there is a bonus episode where you play Max and Chloe when they were young, and then, at the end of this bonus episode Max actually recorded an audio tape for Chloe to hear, basically Max telling Chloe why she had to go to Seattle. However, many people speculate that future Max recorded this audio tape. Suggesting that Max, after she chose Bay over Bae - which is the wrong ending - Max will rewind time one more time to choose Choe over Arcadia Bay to fix the ending. You could think of Life is Strange 4 as a sequel Also there is a theory that Jefferson was the good guy all along and he was just hired by the Prescotts to kill the 'time traveler' that would destroy Arcadia Bay.. actually, most people don't know this, but there is a secret unreleased audio recording from the creators of Life is Strange, where Nathan is screaming that the storm is coming. Suggesting that Nathan has time travel powers or at least preminitions (the first phase how Max initially developed her time rewinding powers)

Im sure we all remember the first time we played life is strange. It really was a roller coaster of emotions and ive been craving for a game that gives the same feeling. Hopefully they announce more news this year

problem is: a lot of the ambience is also coming from the graphics... and those new graphics (true colors, lis remastered) just suck.... they make everything so bland and boring

THANK YOU. finally someone with the same mindsett!! sadly I saw in a video an interview with the set designer of deck nine, who made true colors and before the storm... he said that the.. like the lead something something (I forgot), just let's say chef, really likes the more photorealistic design ... even tho the game designer also really loves and admires the paintbrush style of life is strange 1 and in his own drawings he uses more the paiantbrush style (cryyy).... but yeah I mean I'm not saying true colors wasn't absolutely stunning.... the town was GORGEOUS.... but it just doesn't really have life is strange vibes anymore :)@@Cameo96_

Theres actually a studio called RETRO ZONE STUDIOS that has been making a visual novel called LIFE IS STRANGE AFTERMATH that continues the story right after Chloe's funeral, and Max is in the process of strengthening her frienship with Kate and establising a new friendship with Victoria

If it treats sacrifice Chloe as the basis im 1001% not interested. If you want a visual novel that's already out check out Love Is Strange. It bins the time travel, Jefferson and Nathan completely and let's you as Max spend a week with Chloe, Kate, Victoria or Rachel.

@@zadok23 I think Life is Strange Aftermath is serving as a way of Max trying to live a normal life after undoing the week of fun and sadness with Chloe, but I think the basis of the novel is Max's attempt at forging a strong friendship with Kate and Victoria

The first game made me feel so damn nostalgic. Not just because it reminded me of my own teen years but the whole butterfly effect sci-fi thing was super prevalent in all forms of media then. I tried to play lis2 and couldn’t really get into it. Didn’t even try with lis3. Personally, I’d like to see some off shoot of the first game. We got BTS which was great but seeing a 90s prequel of Mark Jefferson would be neat.

No joke, since I played the first Game back in 2017 I played LIS1 and BTS every year once at their dates in the game: BTS in May, LIS1 in October. Hope the rumors are true.

I would definitely be down for another Life is Strange game. Need more of the LiS universe! Honestly, depends on the ending you chose for LiS 2, there can definitely be references to Sean and Daniel. The ending I got and the one I prefer anyway is Parting Ways so by this point, Sean and Daniel would definitely be around in the places they are the happiest at. It still should be a case though of player canon much like how LiS 2 asked you before you started whether or not you sacrificed Arcadia Bay, a new LiS game should ask you first your ending to the first game and what your ending was to LiS 2 before you start it so that can reflect in the story still.

Maybe the most likely options are either new characters, another max and Chloe game or a game involving Alex, Steph and Ryan. I think Sean and Daniel’s story is told but who knows we might see them again in a cameo or something. Another life is strange game that I have always wanted is a before the storm season 2 where you get to play as Rachel Amber. I thought in the sacrifice Arcadia Bay ending in LIS 1. There were more people who survived the storm as well as David Madsen. Anyway, I have been a big fan of this franchise since 2016 so I’m excited for anything that comes out.

Also if the Aperture title becomes reality, i hope they make us choose what ending we got in the original game. Making a game having multiple endings and then making a sequel to that and making just one ending canon would make me feel like i was robbed of my choices. I kept Chloe alive for a reason. Not sure if he got some of that from the comic and combined it with self fiction stuff since there is another dude with powers in it and it's based off the ending if she choose chloe over the city. She is also trapped in another timeline due to random flickers happening from some type of damage she did to herself by straining the usage of her powers (She literally dead people are that are still alive in other dimensions). Still this concept he states sound cool and one can only hope it is true

Unlike most people, I hope LIS 4 isn't about Max and Chloe anymore. I loved them but I want a new story. If they really want to return to LIS 1, maybe a story about Max in the future, as an adult having new adventures would be cool but at least I hope it won't be a prequel.

considering the game will be new players free, i suppose we won't need to choose what we picked in lis 1 like in twd games, so we probably will have a "canon" that Max sacrificed Chloe but the parallel world is where she sacrificed Arcadia and probably will find Chloe there. Now think about it, we have an old friend Chloe and some new Sophi girl co-existing. This won't end well. My theory: both endings happened in both parallel realities, there is no real real Max (players decide that). LiS 4 will be from eyes of Max who sacrificed Chloe, the other Max lived in other reality and found out something that made her go against Sophi but she accidentally switched the reality, intertwining both worlds and making herself go through the investigation. The question is: what did Sophi do, could it be about Chloe and jealousy? if so and we don't get time travel on entering the parallel world, it will mean we have to be suspicious of Sophi from the start, we should notice her facial expressions, her look of surprise could be not a surprise but rather a hope our Max (not the alternate one) doesn't remember the past events where Sophi could be compromised.

Why was Tell Me Why not a Life is Strange game? Was it to do with the short length and the fact it was in association with Xbox instead of Square Enix maybe? Didn’t like it as much as Life is Strange 2 character wise. The pacing and plot development was overall better though. Thought the mystery and special ability made it more of a LIS game than LIS2 ever was though lol. There’s something about LIS2 that I like though. It was refreshing coming out of Before The Storm. A male protagonist, not having an ability but having a close relationship with an individual who does, the constant change of scenery and environments etc.

LiS 1 will always hold a special place in my heart, but LiS 2 would have to be the best of the series so far in my opinion. I know 2 gets a lot of hate, but I feel like people hate it for the wrong reasons. Everyone can have their opinion obviously, but I would love more from the series on that level. I feel like if the series hadn’t changed hands LiS 3 could have really hit the nail on the head, but I didn’t even bother paying for/playing True Colors myself. I just watched Let’s Plays to make sure it wasn’t something I was missing out on, and never wished I had bought it myself while watching those. Before the Storm was okay, it was just too disconnected for being a prequel, and didn’t really have thoughtful gameplay/story.

Well depends if it follows the cannon ending and max story it would do well if it does it should make max and Kate become closer as friends and Victoria be some what redeemable or at least nicer to both of them. I‘m not sure what they do if they chose Chloe survives ending they can go A lot of routes too I guess but I would prefer the latter since it’s just more realistic and could do incredible great things I can’t wait.

if you sacrificed Chloe it wouldn't make sense for her to be alive in a sequel to max's story. they would have to canonize 1 of the endings and that would be trash since it removes the dramatic decision aspect.

They probably wouldn’t. They haven’t bothered to pick in any of the subsequent games, not sure why they’d start now. But it’s clear which ending they thought was canon. It just so happens to be the opposite of what a lot of fans want.

I don't know if this stat tracks across all versions of the game but as recently as last week, Sacrifice Chloe is narrowly the majority choice on the ps4 version.If the plot is decided by that then Chloes death with be canon atleast initially

Now here is an idea for the a LiS that follows up on 1. But tbh, this idea really is just a huge game that has 2 games in it, one with and one without chloe. You can port all of your decisions from the first game to this one, and what happens to chloe in the end determines which one you get. In the timeline with chloe, if you "romanced" chloe, there should be some more on that in this game. and if you didn't then we can explore that. And the last line where chloe is dead, id feel like the story would involve max still coping with chloe's death. Knowing how'd their friendship blossoms if she doesn't die. And if you romanced chloe, shed be grappling the loss of someone she was actually falling for. So in reality a game like that would have 4 initial starts in a way. So the amount of endings potentially could be astronomical (not even counting what the events in that game could be as well). So a game this large, with this many possibilities, idk. But it would certainly make me happy if this were the case XD.

Hopefully the layoffs at Deck Nine don't impact the game. A bit of trivia: Aperture is also a photography term that refers to how open or closed your camera iris opens when you take a photo. If you remember the Portal games, Aperture Science was the company, and the logo is much like a half-open camera lens. Also, in Stargate SG1, the iris mechanism they used to prevrnt intruders from coming through the gate worked the same way.

That leak about different realities was probably someone fantasizing and building upon the comic series. I feel like mot a lot of people have read it for some reason. It's actually amazing, I loved it, and it kinda honors all the endings, and explores Max's powers further. Along with showing more people with powers. And apparently there is a new comic series coming out about Alex and Steph, where Chloe and even Amber are going to appear, so can that leak really be true? Are the comics even considered canon? I was wondering about this earlier! Each LIS game has something so perfect about it, so now I want the power of the three of them to come together to create the best possible game. And I don’t think that’s a Max or Sean and Daniel game. The nature of their endings don’t allow for it. Alex, however… it could work. But what I really want is a continuation of the anthology projectory of the series 5:55 for this one, I really don’t want to play as an adult character, let alone Max. The games work well for teens and young adults, even if it’s a little cringey. And as I mentioned, I don’t think a sequel can work. Even if Chloe and other characters aren’t super prominent 8:22 does this game look interesting? Yeah, of course. But why Max? This could be anyone. Any student or any teacher could take on this mystery and plot. Why is it Max? There needs to be a reason, otherwise it’s just pandering
