While you all focus on being a striker for barca us goalies have to deal with toxic teammates. It sucks when the defense blames you for letting a goal in yet the entire defense was more like forwards! Any other goalies understand me? If you play striker or midfielder please have a go in goals and see how it feels. Most of us don’t wanna go on because of horrible teammates

I am a gk and I know how it feels. It’s very hard especially all the criticism and people saying ‘your crap’, ‘save this’ when it’s hard to take what you have learnt from training into a game. Learning one thing at a time as a gk is hard because there are so many different ways you have to put it into a game. My advice as an 6-years-experienced keeper is no matter what people say to you, you have to stay positive and keep mentally strong because if you aren’t you are gonna go into a game 79% sure you’ve got this. Always stay positive and believe you can be the best, always practice and NEVER, EVER GIVE UP!

Also, Goalie is the most dangerous position. On numerous occasions I have been stud up slide tackled in a 50/50 challenge. On others, when trying to sweep up I have been cleanly knocked out by shots to the face. Goalkeepers are the bravest people on the pitch and deserve way more credit, we put our lives on the line for the game.

One time we went on a penalty shootout and and a lot of my teammates missed their pens,then I don’t save a pen that goes top bins and I am the one that to blame I saved on before that and nobody cared...it’s not goalkeepers fault every time you lose or conside a goal (only true goalies will understand)

I'm a GK aswell and it is one of the hardest possisions to play in sport to block shots at very high speeds it is sometimes extremely hard and we don't get enough credit

I played goalkeeper. We had made it to the final I was a great goalie as well one of the best actually and we were tide 0-0 and the game was about to end any second and we were trying to take it to overtime and when the other team shot it to the very corner I had blocked it and then the ball bounced off my hands and the team had another chance to shoot while I was on the ground but I was prepared and raised my right hand up while on the ground blocked the shot but then bounced of my hand again with the opponent team having another chance to shoot. I stood up, they took the shot and dove to the right side of the goal blocking it and catching the ball. We took the game to overtime and won 2-1 but no one ever remembered what I did which the goal wouldve costed us the championship. They just remember the one I didn’t block.

I was a goalkeeper for my team for like 6 years and I was really good but then we got a new keeper and my manager made me play out field that game and I ended up doing really well so I’ve been out field since then. But then about three years ago my friend wanted to be a goalkeeper so now I train almost everyday and he’s gotten really good :)

I've done the exercises but I'm way too young to start professionally. I can tell you running is hard, I started running home from school and it normally takes 50 minutes walking.

The gk is one of the most important positions on the pitch and the defenders are supposed to listen to the keeper. My team needs to get better at that. We’re rlly good, it’s just the listening that the coach needs to talk about.

I know how this feels my first game being goalie was hard the main goalie didn't came so i had to be goalie and we lost like 6-1 or somewhere there and in my head i was like "its my fault" "its my fault" like repeating like 5 times or more and then i said to my coach "Can i be backup goalie" and then he said yes i can so i was practicing goalie and i still am and its simple but i played midfielder or striker and now i improve much as goalie and i am good i but sometimes i do mistakes but im proving still. So those people or kids who play as goalie you will improve sone may blame you after the other team scores vut you are trying your best to become good, and be the best like ter stegen, De gea, the other goalies like that
