Jason, I will speak for myself but I am willing to bet that I am not alone in saying this. Even though you may have not enjoyed the "how to" content on your channel, it was invaluable to me and I'm willing to bet so many others. Thank you thank you thank you for all of the work that went into those. I have learned so much over the years. It's always bittersweet when one chapter in life closes and the next begins. I wish you nothing but the best and will continue to support even if this channel won't get updated as much anymore.

I'm late but did he get divorced? Last time I was here, I thought he was married to a pretty black woman but if something happened then I hope he's okay now I know most marriages or relationships don't last, which is sad.

Best advice I ever heard was you can't write about life unless you go out and live it! I've taken a long hiatus on my own work but I used other outlets (like vlogging) to fill that need to create. Traveling is the best way to gain inspiration! 🌞

Feels so strange to catch up on the last couple of years (!) of updates from you all in one go! I got your book Unnatural Talent almost ten years ago and have frequently returned to that (as well as your website) many times to get guidance and inspiration as an artist. You videos have also kept me company on many years of drawing session now, so just thought I’d drop a line to thank you. Its really great to see you doing well in this update. I wish you all the very best for the future, creatively but also just for life in general!

I come back to this channel from time to time to see have you posted anything. Your draw along livestreams during lockdown really kept me going. Glad to see you’re doing well and moving on to greater things with your life and new youtube! Any plans to move out to the Philippines? The cost of living there is unbelievable!

I just recently decided to try to do KZfaq full-time (on my Province Smile channel) because it has been going so well. Lots of new opportunities have been presenting themselves as I keep going that direction so it's hard to want to focus on anything else now. Yeah, the plan is to move Joy here for about 5 years until my kids are over 18 years old. Then we want to move to the Philippines after that. Right now I just travel there every 4 months and visit different places and try to figure out where we should buy land. I've been winding down all my comic related stuff now but I know that one day I will want to make another comic, or continue working on Phobos or something. But for now, my mind and time is pretty focused on the new adventures. :)

Feels like art youtube in general has "folded up" for a few years now. I come on here and check a few channels I used to watch and see no one has uploaded anything for months or years. Art "drama" channels seem to be doing fine, actual art instruction does very poorly on youtube for a few years now.

Yeah, it's true. KZfaq doesn't reward serious art channels anymore. Or people are just not interested anymore. Everyone I know has kinda moved onto other things now too. It's sad but artists can't afford to spend all the time it takes to make KZfaq videos if nobody is watching anymore.
