More electric vehicles are about to hit the market. What’s it like to live with an EV that has a range over 200 miles? If it’s the Jaguar I-Pace, there’s a lot of driving fun and little worry about running out of juice. Looks great too. Tom Voelk tests a loaded HSE model and finds out what happens when the temperatures turn very cold.

The I-Pace is my daily driver for my 50 mile Los Angeles commute. In warmer SoCal, the average range is close to 230 miles. I love it.

I have been driving my I-Pace since April 4, and can agree with everything he says. It is a great car -luxurious comfort, fast, practical design for storing items and still looking nice, sleek look, hugs corners, comfort and a good work truck w that awesome hatchback -all in one! Slow electronics though, and my Apple CarPlay isn’t working, the radio station favorites keep getting erased, and sometimes two stations play at once, so need to drive to Seattle tomorrow for “a computer restart.”

I watched this video right after riding in an i-Pace at the DC auto show. Though it was only a 90 second ride...wow, the torque and handling of this "suv" is incredible and unexpected. I have to agree with practically everything Tom says about it.

I just bought my I-pace and am blown-away by how much I love it; welcome to the next generation of automobile! Going back to a regular combustion engine car is rather crude by comparison. LOVE the regenerative braking, I set it on high and hardly touch the brakes, the notion that you're recapturing the energy is truly efficiency-awesome!!! Admittedly, when you do need the brakes in combination with the re-gen, there is a bit of an un-smooth conflict with both systems slowing you down...but it's minimal and quite tolerable.

I own an I Pace and my son is thinking about a Model 3. We just did an hour long test ride of the Model 3. Here are some observations.

Love the design and ALL your reviews Tom...wish I could love the electric cars as we Americans move forward...Stepped up to a 2.0 Turbo for more power and love it!
