We are first time parents,since 5 years all my in-laws including my husband,kept me busy in some or the other way,we both are doctors,at time of marriage only degree was asked but after marriage I got to know "Ladkiyan chahe jitna padh lein degree chulhe me hi lgani pdti",but I didn't have up,after lot of mess was created by my in laws,my leggings were banned,I couldn't wear gown to feed my daughter,my father in law got into my room at 12.30 a.m. just to cut my gown from siccors, in name of adjustments I faced a lot of mental harrasment and domestic violence,my husband who himself is a doctor is allowed to attend all seminars for me it's a big NO,after suffering a lot I decided to raise voice and my husband it's being 10 months haven't seen me and my daughter, believe me ,m not regretting my decision, because if a wife has spineless husband she can take him alongside but if a daughter has a spineless father, she'll be in utter danger, there by I left that place.

No one should give up...I too left my job because of marriage and now I lost my identity too

Bhai, my husband left his well paying corporate job and followed me to another country, where I pursued my career. He took care of home and us, for 5 years. He started working again, when he found something he really liked and didn't come back home frustrated like he did in his corporate job. I know, at some point, women need to take career breaks or avail for work from home jobs/businesses. But if your husband and/or in-laws expect to leave your career permanently, never ever do that. Housewives ko milti kya hai taane sunne ke elava. Apni mummy ko bhi bht bhugat te huye dekhi hun. Aur ab unhone humesha mujhse kehti hai, ki ladkon ki tarah ladkiyon ko bhi independent banna zaroori hai.
