Soooo….. I’m very glad this video exists. Following it step by step and pausing as we went took us 14 hours. 🤣 it made me wonder how long it actually took to film. I highly suggest following this video, use the paper manual (it has pictures of the actual true to size screws so you can match them up and make sure you’re using the right ones), and also the robot lady instructions. Between the three different instructions, we had hardly any problems. It’s a lot of work but it’s a great marriage builder. Or destroyer. You choose. It’s like a “choose your own adventure” build. Good luck!

This video was immensely helpful. That being said, I would have done the ridge line on the roof differently. Instead of putting all the pieces together on the ground and then trying to maneuver a 20 foot piece onto the roof, I would recommend start at one end and assemble it in pieces on the roof from the inside. This will help with applying pressure from the outside to better secure the panels together

The video was very helpful in preparing for the assembly of the shed. I would advise that when drilling into the steel/metal please use goggles to protect your eyes from falling or flying debris. A well done video. Thank you. The part I'm trying to figure out is how to build the shed so I can minimize the number of hours when I will need to hire the other 2 guys. For example, putting all the trusses is place before the roof panels go on. Building the skylight ahead of time, before assistance is needed. I wonder if someone has done that. That would be a good video for lifetime to make.

I have the 15x8 and I did not get spring locks like this one that drill in. There was also no self tapping screw part for the slide in, it just slid in and then the middle latches were bolted on. Also had a way tougher time getting those hinge tubes in than in this video. They went in about half way barely and then had to be hammered the rest of the way.. The floor didn't snap together flush (it should snap together different, tighter and not require screws that stick up) needs to be redesigned. Also some of my roof panels, when the screws went in you could see soft spots on the top, like the plastic was worn. Its a really great shed but just needs a better design for some of the parts. There should also be alternative instructions included if you want to move the middle doors to the left or the right.

If I designed this. The bottom of the walls would have a square channel and be secured to the floor with a metal l bracket and the top of the wall would have a flat bar on top of the wall to make the whole structure square and have flat bar along every wall seam. And the trusses would be plastic.

Hoping to get some help. I have the 15x8 rough cut with two entrances. I want to put the middle door to the left of the long side but not sure if my thoughts to achieve it are correct. Thinking ckk and ckn can go to the sides of the doors? Can't find any instructions on how to do so. Thanks.
@LifetimeProductsAssembly
@LifetimeProductsAssembly Жыл бұрын
This is do-able, but it will be a lot of improvising on your end. You will have to make sure that the bushing on the floor to connect the door (reference section 9) are where you want the doors. It's going to be a trickier assembly, especially where we don't have an assembly manual to help you, but it is possible!
@mddubtubeyou
@mddubtubeyou Жыл бұрын
@@LifetimeProductsAssembly I was able to do it. Had to put both window walls right next to eachother on the right, then ckn and ckk to either side of the door opening. The floor threw me off for a min but I just had to flip a panel. Watching the 20x8 KZfaq video helped alot. I think lifetime needs to redesign the floor though. One, it shouldn't have screws, it should snap together more flush. Mine has small gaps towards the ends but the middles are tight. It seems to me that the long side doors should be just like the short side (have the notches on both pieces of floor where the doors swing into eachother not just the one on the left and also have the inside bottom lock go into a closed plastic hole not an open one). And even though all is level the doors close tight. I need to call about getting the new, smaller slide in pieces I've read about on other comments. Appreciate the reply. Love the rough cut look. Pricey but I like it.

I would like to place an order to this shed. My question is: Is it possible to have the side door at the right side of the shed? Here is the video the side door is in the left side.

I was looking for new shed and saw these but now rethinking, the walls don't look to strong when the guy was pushing and to be honest that looks an absolute faff to put together way to many screws who ever designed it obviously didn't put one together themselves, for the price in the UK is about 4k I can get a 44mm log cabin style for a bit more. As a video goes for assembly this guy is great 👏👏.

They are vey very thin and warp over time. That is if you receive the correct parts.

👍 how to get electric connection to it
@LifetimeProductsAssembly
@LifetimeProductsAssembly 3 жыл бұрын
We don’t recommend adding modifications to any of our products. Keep in mind that this is a plastic shed and adding an electric connection can become a fire hazard and will void your warranty on your shed.

Going through every piece of hardware and I have only 2 of the cap nuts and it calls for WAY more than the 2 I have. Extreme frustration and disappointment from the start

That shouldn't be the case. Please reach out to our customer service department with your parts that you're missing so we can get those shipped out to you. They can be reached at 800-225-3865 or by email at customercare@lifetime.com. Customer Service hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (MT).

@@LifetimeProductsAssembly Thank you for the response but I was on a time crunch and I didn't have time to go through that process. There were more than enough lock nuts (without the caps) so we used those and being that they were interior I didn't find it necessary to go through that process.

@LifetimeProductsAssembly

This shed has the price of $3,399 on our website. This can be found here www.lifetime.com/lifetime-60351-20-ft-x-8-ft-outdoor-storage-shed. It is an additional cost for our team to come out to build the shed if they have coverage in your area. To request installation service you can email installationservices@lifetime.com. If wildlife wants in somewhere, they'll get in. You'll never fully keep critters out if they have an attraction to the place. Like if you're storing feed/seed in a loose container, they'll smell it can chew. Best to keep stuff like that sealed in tight canisters. Also, poison traps near by will help keep things like mice away. Just be careful if you have things like chipmunks that you care about as that can hurt them as well. I'm always fighting squirrels, raccoons, mice, chipmunks, feral cats, moles, etc. from getting into things I don't want them in.

Who ever designed these sheds did an atrocious job. And some of the roof shingles are warped. And why are the polls for the doors different lengths.
@thecynic807
@thecynic807 3 жыл бұрын
I would have designed it. I would have made the trusses plastic and the around the top of the walls I would have made a steel C channel to screw to the walls so it would have forced the shed to be square and level. And all four corners would have had steel braces.
