I'm 80 years old, just finished it, took two days, what a job, you have to pound the corner sections to get them to lock in and the roof panels need a lot of adjusting ,flexing the walls and clamping to get alignment, have fun

You must absolutely must have a level base. Also, use the customer service number to talk to a live person to tell you what name/number of the screws are. For example, the manual it says use ADZ. The bag does not have ADZ , it only has a number. Labeling the bag of different screws will make your life 1000 % easier

I’m a Professional Handyman with over 30 yrs of construction experience, it took me 8.75 hrs to complete with a helper. The hardest part was getting the corners to lock in. I weigh 170 lbs and I needed my helper who was about 200lbs for both of us to pull the corner down into place. The latch on the right door hit the strike on the left door, needed another 1/4” clearance. I’m pretty sure this is a design flaw. There was no room for either door to move over. The hardware holes need to be moved over but that’s on the manufacturer. So only able to latch the top latch on the left door because you need to pull both doors open at the bottom by about 12” in order to get the latch to clear the strike plate on the left door. Unable to use the bottom door latch. Also the gable panel for the door end was missing the lip to fasten to the roof. Bad mold job. This video was key to a speedy build!!! Great video by the way, very thorough and concise!!!

I never find building things a challenge. This one was a different story. What I found difficult about the build was that the tolerances on many pieces were way off. We spent more time trying to line up pieces or pry or rubber mallet them into place than we did actually turning the screws and nuts. Even had to tap a few holes of my own where the screws would not line up. Like you, we needed about 360 lbs total to pop in the corners and on one we also needed to recruit an extra neighbor. I have the exact same problem with our doors as you. I found that if I flex the right door, I can pry it closed. Will likely later shave off some material and retap the strike plate for easier closing.

Just had the same experience installing this shed.... Two of us took 8.5 hours to assemble it all. We had an issue with the right door being too high by the same 1/4 to 1/2". Not sure how to modify it to fit. They are quality materials on the shed, but we had to wrestle with corner panels and the roof pieces to get everything to line up.

Only hard part for me was the roof panels (I did them by myself on a day off when no help was close lol) but after some WrestleMania tactics, it all got lined up. Video was super clear. Thank you for the video, very helpful! In future videos, may I suggest going slowly and explicitly when showing orientation of a part (e.g. 4.2), less time on repetitive tasks like tightening fasteners. Also, on my kit, one of the holes for the door strike plate was full of plastic goo so I had to drill it out.

It's the last corner just before the doors I'm having trouble with. A search on KZfaq for lifetime shed corner will bring some good advice. You can shave off some of the tab, someone used a heat gun to help, or use a rubber mallet to hit from the top downwards with a block of wood under the tabs, or even hit from the bottom upwards if you can get the floor high enough. Good luck😂

Thank you very much for making this video. I got the Costco version and mine only had 1 window, a long shelf that goes in the back of the shed and 6 little hanging style brackets for the walls which are super convenient. Im using the 8ft x 12.5ft shed for my Electric Scooter fleet and Gokarts and this more than meets my needs. After measuring the shed its really 7ft 9 inches x 12ft but again the missing 3 inches x 6 inches is not a deal breaker for my use. Thank you for making this shed super sturdy with all the framing you guys added to it. Its much better than my rubber made 7x7 shed.

Hi, I have this shed in the middle of building it. I got the foundation done and everything set up to attach and screw. I’m at the corner wall and wall panels, I’m having the hardest time with the corners, the part where you push in the tabs just won’t push through, I tried the wood trick underneath as well it’s difficult. I even sprayed WD40 on one to try, any tips as a single mom having a hard time building this thing that you would recommend for the wall to make it easier? Also it’s hard to grab the top and push on it because of the groove on top it I think with gloves it should be better? I need to get this done asap, appreciate it thanks

You said ÄGW" for both back panels instead of ""AGW" for the right rear and AGL for the left rear. In the literature your Left/ Right orientation is confusing. In an automobile in North America the left side (left hand drive) the convention is from the rear of the car looking towards the front. Lifetime uses the opposite convention; that is from the front looking to the rear. It is an unnecessary point of confusion. Stating this at the front page of the manual would be helpful.
