I was waiting for this video lol. I'm a big fan of webflow but still love the functionality of WordPress. I think webflow is great but only for informational sites and light blogs.

Ok i could not go throught the whole video but amm do the full basic tutorial on the webflow uni.. Btw you got 2 things wrong. 1. Every CSS class can be changed, including H1, H2, P, etc.. infact the use of classes kinda complicates things and could break a sites or at the very least create unnessay extra class. Second. The biggest feature is their CMS and i dont think you are using it correctly. Imagine it as, first create the data (like you would in a blog post) then you would use the elementor or divi theme builder and use dynamic data.. so thats what you need to do.. So in webflow, you create a whole new page and use dynamic data to be pulled from the collection..

Webflow is so interesting to me. It feels like it is taking a different approach than Wordpress, but has Wordpress features.

I had a couple of clients sign up for web flow and ask me for help to edit it, and I was super impressed with web flow but it’s pricey. I didn’t know there was a free option or a download to play around with it so I might try that now.

Feels really pricey to me as well. I suppose it’s like Shopify. It’s “the” thing to use for building intuitive landing pages, but they are charging a lot because they can. It’s only going to make sense for some businesses.

@@Craylorif I have a client with a big budget I’d love to offer web flow, but I’d want to master it first, so I will try the free version. As for blog posts, I’ve become a fan of using Markdown editors for writing blog posts and then exporting it as HTML… trying to convert some of my clients that still send me word docs.

Even wealthy companies are willing to get a not so good site if that means that they won't have to pay for mods. Companies try to stay away from subscriptions. Hell even users are going that way too. Subscriptions is death by a thousand cuts. They are not even willing to pay for a SEO plugin... They are even happy with the free features... Then you have companies that go to other companies to make their sites. Those companies are not willing to switch to something like that. They all have their own servers and they sell the design, creation and hosting as a package. Even solo web developers have their own servers. Hell they are cheap even those with unlimited traffic.

dude using wordpress is NOT free... the end result you gotta pay for a hosting, ssl and other stuf... with builders they come with hosting and ssl integrated...

For most sites, you would want to pay for some form of hosting. But technically, you can get free hosting through TinkerHost (or others). No one should pay for SSL these days. It’s free with Let’s Encrypt, Cloudflare, etc.

would you ever use a "free hosting" for a client ?... no right ?... so thats not an option. is always better to go with a builder (better budget) or just go pure code($$cost more, but best overall) wordpress is so useless nowadays with all other options out there@@Craylor
