interesting that the title is lift like a girl. obviously they are trying to make a statement about girls also doing weights but then why mention gender at all. they are not lifters they are girl lifters. any man would just say "yeah, i lift". hence any girl lifting is a girl lifter and not a real lifter according to the makers of this stupid video.

I know what you're saying, but they're just trying to break the stereotype that girls don't lift. A woman calling herself a "female lifter" to seem cool and edgy is for the wrong purpose, but calling themselves a "female lifter" in order to inspire other girls to lift because they're a minority in this realm is pretty important.

Would anyone call a lifter 'sporty'? I definitely wouldn't. Competitive lifting technically fills the current definition of a sport, but it still doesn't feel very sport-like.

thesorrow312 The lady in the video said "I never thought of myself as sporty" or something to that effect, with the obvious implied meaning that she thinks she is in fact sporty because she lifts. Lifting is not a 'sporty' sport, Sport.
