You are very welcome! It is great to see students transition where they want to go in life to physical therapy. Yes! I personally think it really does come down to what you are passionate about and what is important to you. I think we need to overcome the idea of working a job we hate. We have choices!!

@@lidy0433 talking all day was one of the top struggles I had as a physical therapist. To me talking all day can be draining and I find that the days where I am educating and conversing more, I feel more physically drained at the end of the day, but I also feel more rejuvenated because I was able to talk with patients and make a connection. It is a double edge sword because you get exhausted from talking a lot, but you get rejuvenated when you make a connection with patients. I found that the solution to all of this is to find a balance that works for you. There are some days where I would have to just hang out by myself in the quiet of my home because I just needed silence LOL

It's true you do have to have a passion for movement if you want to get into this field, if you dont just forget because your going to be on your feet all day.

You have to be fascinated by movement! That is the way. It’s great working as a physical therapist because you are changing positions and moving around all day! You are sitting, standing, squatting, demonstrating exercises, picking up objects, and so many things. It is so much better than sitting all day

Hi! First off I'm so grateful for your videos! Would you be able to do a video about shadowing during the pandemic? Every PT clinic on O'ahu I've contacted are still closed off for volunteering/shadowing, and the PT aide job path has been competitive and hard to come across. It's been a real struggle :/

The pandemic has affected the whole pre-physical therapy system because it really put a stop to students getting observation hours during this pandemic. Wow great vid j.lee this is exactly what I needed after getting accepted to dpt school and looking at the tuition rates I bugged out. But you say it well gotta do what you enjoy or you'll hate your life who wants to have 40 hrs of their week for the next 40 years hating it everyday?

Be smart with your finances. Like Justin said it’s possible to go to a public school for much cheaper.. 30-50k. Try to go to a public physical therapy school if possible for you! I remember Justin saying in a old video public and private PT schools are the same and worth going to. I see that the starting PT salary is around 75k. If you make 75k with 40k in student loans you should be able to pay that off in a year! Live off of 35k you already have been living like a broke college student for 7 years! Be smart and hustle.

all programs are doctorates now, they are also extremely competitive and expensive

Just like Matthew commented below, all physical therapy programs are at a doctorate level now. You can apply to a doctorate a physical therapy program directly after graduating with a bachelors

Hey Justin, I've been following you for over a year now. We've actually met through a zoom call. I feel that my application is not strong and sometimes I doubt that I could get through a DPT program. What advice can you give about this? Am I doubting myself too much or am I not cut out for something like this?

Hey what is up Diego! Yeah I remember you! I think it would depend on a couple factors. I think number one: you are very likely doubting yourself too much. To have increased moments of self-doubt and limiting beliefs when you are thinking about applying to PT school is common. Keep your head up bro! Number two: your application may very well not be as strong as you think. You have to make sure that you are applying to schools that have requirements that are appropriate to your application. Meaning if you have a 2.8 GPA, you shouldn’t be applying to the number one physical therapy school
