This is some retarded advice, hammer curls and bicep curls target different things, your just hiding from the problem, if you have shoulder pain you probably just have bad form by not retracting your back and making your shoulders move forward or have shoulder instability

For the last answer being the sciatic nerve, would it also involve the dermatome of L5? And possibly S1?

I have two questions? There’s decided tests if you don’t pass one of them then do you need to re take all again? Second question: what if you fail 6 times?

As a 24 year old who is looking to get into the physical therapy field, this was very helpful. Just curious if anyone else wants to work as a PTA or DPT because of an injury they have experienced.

I’m 24 as well, and I’m currently pursuing a bachelors in anthropology. I’ve recently been inspired to switch my major to Health Science or Kinesiology to pursue becoming a DPT. To answer your question, what inspired me wasn’t an injury, lol. But my job currently is working with people, which I like to do and within the last couple of years I’ve been interested in movement and how important it is. Good luck on your journey!

If we aren't planning to go to PT school and are wanting to build a career as a personal trainer/movement coach, what kind of continuing education would you recommend? I was planning to do a BA in kinesiology, so I'm glad I found this video!!

Dr. Lee, you are an amazing teacher, thank you for the explanation! Question, I would like to become a physical trainer for older individuals needing strength/mobility training for longevity. It sounds like kinesiology would be excellent to know first, even if it’s not a degree. Is this correct?

What would you recommend for a person who got a business undergrad degree in business major, work in a totally different space for 10+ years, working as Pilates teacher currently? Would PTA + community college be the best course?

6:30 hmmm, I see. My experience of PT is different. Mine was, at first, paid for by insurance, for an MVA. I never felt like my PT has to sell anything because she was just legitimately good, and legit enjoys her job. She didnt have to convince me to go back, I always wanted to go back. Never felt like she was stressed about the physicality of her job, or the long hours. So going to her always just felt like the most natural thing, like I was just going to hang out with a friend, and relax. I mean... I always knew she was good, but she just might be so good that she makes it look easy, and my experience was actually unusually positive. That is probably why they are the top physio spot in town, and they're always busy. There was no indication she ever struggled to get clients.

So you’re top 2 cons involved doing your job as a PT. How are those cons? Being on your A game is what you’re expected to provide whether you’re in cash practice or not.
