Awsome video! As a steelworker in the Navy Seabees, I have the utmost respect and admiration for these guys. Trying to handle a beam of that size in any kind of wind is like dealing with a big sail. The people on the guide lines did a great job! Also, kudos to the crain operator for having the "touch" that it takes to maneuver a piece of steel that size. Thanks Micheal for such a grat videos. Kudos to you for the skill you have in maneuvering the drone!

More and more strands are used to support the bridge the further it goes out. Up through specific holes in the saddle and back down to the deck. From 30 on the near end to over 100 on where they meet in the middle.

Tough as nails. Have to be. 70 degrees one day, 20 the next and windy. Steel hats off to these folks.

Surprising at the number of workers that are ok at being directly beneath 25 tons. Guess they've never seen any cables break, collisions occur, winch brakes fail, or cranes tip over or mistakes made on load or crane calculations.. Maybe need to watch more KZfaq which is full of such occurrences.

Michael I had read these cross I beams (floor beams) weigh 34 tons or 68,000lbs. Whichever is right they are very heavy to maneuver between the edge I beams. Great videos. 😊

It could be. On the Bridging North America site it says 25 tons.

@@michaelanthonyvideos Checked weights and the floor beam is rated at 25 tons and is 8 feet high by 113 feet long. The edge beams weight 45 ton and are 8 ft. by 49 ft. long. Once each side completes their 5 remaining spans there will be one connecting piece to join both sides together.
