Lifting a House 30" Solo?

Can one person lift a house? Yes, if you're not in a hurry, you can lift a moderately sized house with
bottle jacks. I'll show you how I did it solo.

Thanks! Yes it was. It was surprisingly easy. I continually opened and closed the windows throughout, making sure I was lifting pretty evenly.

Did you only jack the two sides length wise? Or did you jack all sides?

I need to do this to my off grid 20'x20' cabin - how did you pour the concrete under the house?

I poured the concrete 8 inches shy of the total height then i put a cinder block in the gap.

I used pine, 95x95x700mm. I'm very happy with those dimensions.

What do you call the type of siding that is on your house? Thanks

I'm not sure what you would call it. It's one of the most common sidings in the Scandinavian countries. Spruce planks with a two inch "lid". It's treated with ferrous sulfate. Gives it a weathered look and keeps moss and algies away to some extent.
