If you have Dragonlord and Branded Lost on the field, and you activate Branded Fusion, if the opponent Ashes your fusion, the Dragonlord will negate their Ash, and if they dont, the Dragonlord will not negate your Branded Fusion because Branded Lost prevents its activation from being negated

But OG LADD is an omni…yeah it only negates the activation but it still negates anything your opponent does.

Since they banish a guy from extra to summon there is some really funny stuff you can do with Malefic Paradigm Dragon.

I don't know why he decided to use that example for Branded, don't think you'll have that setup all that often. A much easier way would be through through the standard Albion line. Brafu into Albion sending Albaz and Lub, Albion effect for fusion Lub using Albaz+any dark except Albion, Lub effect into Mirrorjade, tribute Albion for Lub then place Lost, MP3 activate Albion set Banishment. On opponent's turn you have two options, either LADDL using Lub and Albion, or Dragostapelia using Albion and any of your opponent's darks. You can add Merc off of Lost during both lines but LADDL CL blocks the first effect so Merc can be a bit limited here.

I do love these cards in Malefic because they're a great way to allow Paradigm Dragon to summon Synchro Monsters whose names aren't Stardust Dragon. Been so long since I summoned Beelze

There's so many cool cards coming out recently, it's just too bad a hate the modern game. Like I didn't mind MD for like the first year because everything was still pretty unique given their unique banlist but then newer cards started getting released and the powercreep started dominating.

Centurion could use this as new negate boards. Gargoyle is searchable, timeless can work with primera, and the level 8 would allow more calamity shenanigans. This is actually gonna go crazy hard.

Before people get really excited and pick up the cards, realize first that this is a mandatory Negate, meaning "when an effect happens, and if it does" in it's text. It requires more planning then you may initially think.

Been having fun with this in a LADDL/Tachyon hybrid deck. Best hands can get 4 omnis and a spell negate, but even mediocre hands can get the spell negate through Number 38.

So million dollar question I have that I've seen no one talk about, is LAD Lord actually any better than regular LAD? Sure you can actually special summon this one, but it requires specifically 2 level 8 dragons of specific attributes + a fusion effect to bring out. You get less negates with it (3 compared to 5 with original LAD), that are still not optional and still doesn't destroy, it gets weaker much faster (basically you negate 2 things and it can be run over by any normal summon, compared to 4 things with OG LAD), and it's revival effect may not nuke your board like OG LAD it only revives dragons instead of any monster. So is it any better or worse than OG LAD, or is it basically "same-same-but-different"?

I’m personally not too sure about this card in Branded. Sure it doesn’t hurt to have if Sanctifire gets hit, but with it costing a Branded in red, and negating cards are on both sides of the field, you’re not only shut off from pivoting into your other fusions like Chimera, but you also lose out on utilizing and recycling Mirrorjade until the omnis are expended I’m not saying this card is bad in branded but due to the risk that comes with it, this probably shouldn’t be a go-to fusion unless you know your opponent is capable of playing through a bunch of interactions and you really need an equalizer

There is no reason to have made this -1000, rather than let's say -600, in today's meta.

I've gone back and forth on this card for branded. It's honestly just a bit too unwieldy to get into for what it is and the ED space is tight as it is. Branded's ED isn't hurting for good guys to play and I don't think this is the one to dethrone anything. I personally think it'll fit much better in a deck that doesn't exist yet that fulfills the material requirements more easily and readily. Such as a Blue-Eyes + LADD deck that seeks to end on Magia + 2 Spirits + True Light + LADD + whatever else you have and it's functionally an FTK because you have like 7+ negates across all the card types and Magia helps defend the LADD fusion's once per chain vulnerability and nothing short of extreme board breakers allow the opponent to even start to play the game as all of those cards will try and float as well. So the board would be Magia + Fusion LADD + 2 Spirits. The spirits swap out to Crimson Dragon and Spirit Ultimate Dragon. Spirit Ultimate Dragon negates something and then Crimson Dragon tags it out back into the ED for any 12 dragon of your choice. Assuming King Calamity is banned, Red Supernova, Cosmic Blazar, and Shooting Quasar are all really great targets for follow-up. The one you go into will vary based on what the opponent is playing and the game state of course. For those wondering which blue-eyes are darks (in case you don't have the LADD stuff in hand), the Chaos cards cover you. Which you also need to get to Magia anyway. So you can go through your combo, fuse into LADD at some point with Chaos Max in your hand + any light 8 star dragon (wherever will we find one of those in blue-eyes?) and then you ultimate fusion using your GY with said Chaos Max and you get Magia. I also really like the idea of combining 2 anime decks. Chazz it up.

I still don't know what's up with tcg's obsession with puppet lock when it's barely played in master duel, i personally find it very gimmicky and rarely even play it

Giving branded 3 omni negates is really not what YuGiOh needed. That deck not having any omnis is really what made it bearable to play against.

And jet another card that will have its effect miss ruled by cards like super poly and dark ruler no more. For those who don't know back when the original light and darkness was released a judge missruled the interaction between light and darkness and super poly by saying that cards that activated their effects by themselves are still counted as a player choosing to activated that cards effect because it was still under the players control. This resulted in light and darkness not being able to negotiate super poly and by extension all cards with similar wording. For example, the original light and darkness vs dark ruler no more. Who do u think wins? If u said dark ruler congratulations u have been brainwashed into believing a wrong interaction. The original light and darkness doesn't have the one's per chain limitation and should activated regardless of "player choice " and negate dark ruler, but 99% of yugioh players have been train not to question this interaction. Remember guys cards like super poly and dark ruler only prevent the player from making the choice to activate a card effect not not preventing effects activation in general. If cards like super poly really wanted to prevent all effect activation the card text should read "cards effects can't be activated in response to this card" instead of "THE PLAYER BLA BLA BLA" because again the PlAYER ISN'T CHOOSING TO ACTIVATE LIGHT AND DARKNESS 'S EFFECT.
