Like, it was the seat of the predominant faith in Westeros, and in the process of blowing up the Sept Cersei wiped out one of the Great Houses, whom had a lot of really powerful vasalls, like the Redwynes, Hightowers, Tarllys, etc. But no, everyone is like "whoopsie, let's forget that this thing happened becuase we gotta wrap this out".

They got plenty right. Ok it had its flaws but what show doesnt? Still one of the best shows ever made in my opinion.

@@michaeluden7131 Without a doubt one of the best shows ever made, it's a shame they couldn't stick the landing though because that is what will be most memorable to people, I feel like a lot of the problems created wouldn't have been an issue if they had stretched the series out to have at least 2 more seasons or at the very least a few more episodes.

@@elliotwoodhouse2459 That was exactly the problem. D&D were burnt out and were looking to quickly finish GOT so they could get on board a Disney project (which got cancelled lmao). Both HBO and GRMM begged them for more seasons and they said no, rushing to the ending. This is why season 7 and especially season 8 suffers so much as well as why they are shorter than the previous seasons. GRMM's recommended 10-13 seasons would've done wonders and all D&D had to do was give other writers the mantle but they were too egotistical, ending in the shitstorm we know today. Hell, even an extra 4 episodes (bringing the season back to the average 10 episodes) would've helped immensely.

@@michaeluden7131 agreed. I'm rewatching all of game of thrones again and on the last season and even though it was rushed towards the end and you can tell. It's still such an amazing show and so captivating.

Without question, one of the most emotionally gripping, evocative, inspiring, transcendent pieces ever created and performed. I think because it’s part of a soundtrack for a series, the sheer creativity and majesty of the piece is often overlooked. Easily stands on its own as a magnificent piece of performed in front of an audience at any philharmonic hall in the world. Understanding the background of the series and the rise and fall of the character allows one to appreciate just how flawlessly the music defines the character herself. The last :10 in my opinion, matched to the scene it came from, is one of the most expressive moments in musical or film history. Thinking about how much creativity it takes to have made this from scratch, imagining and refining every note, every instrument, cadence, flow, sound etc easily marks this as the work of a modern day genius. Stays in my playlist rotation. Simply Excellent.

game of thrones has no villains. Cersei is just a player, who plays to survive and for her family to survive. The same game the Starks play and the same as all the other houses played. All that matters to them is that their family survive, no matter who and how many have to die. You can see that in the end, when the city is burned and destroyed, after Daenerys die they do not even talk about people who died and make jokes, laughing scornfully at their lives

She is a player in the Game like Phoenix said, like everyone else is. In a sense, if we start seeing others as villains, a totally neutral party observing will be able to say "They are all heroes, and they are all villains." Because who is a villain and who is not depends on who you as an individual support. It is psychological. This is why I love Game of Thrones. Because they do not have a hero vs villain storyline, they have one side vs the other vs another vs another and so on, with sides slowly disappearing one by one. When GOT began, there were the starks, the bannisters, the targaryens (well what was left of them), the baratheons, the tyrells, the martells, and so on. Now GOT has ended, and who is left? The starks, one lannister, the martells, one baratheon bastard-turned-pure, the Eyrie. The rest, wiped out by the others. The army of the dead also came into the picture, briefly. My point is, it was not the same side destroying all the others the whole time, it was all sides destroying each other the whole time. So in the end who really was the villain? Cerise did some pretty messed up stuff, but so did Euron Greyjoy and Ramsay Bolton, or how about Walder Frey who despite his uselessness, had the entirety of the stark host under Robb wiped out. Lets not forget Alliser Thorne, who was the biggest antagonist against Jon Snow for the majority of the series until his execution. In Thornes eyes, Jon was the villain for breaking the war against the Wildlings by befriending them and saving them. But yet people see thorne as a villain because of his attitude towards Jon Snow. Cerise is no different. Yes she is worse, but what she did in her eyes led to one thing: her and her family's survival. So essentially, your opinion of Cersei being a villain is not wrong, but it is not the full truth either. Yes she was a villain, but no, she was not a villain. Me, I see her as the villain to the Starks' story, but I also see her as one of the most important and powerful characters in the show.

Destroying the Sept of Baelor was a pretty stupid action if we consider the reaction of Westeros, but since Dan and Dave kinda forgot that destroying what is essentially considered the Vatican and killing the most loved family in Westeros, would make you enemy number one, and everyone would be clamoring for Dragon Lady to save them. The whole Mad Queen storyline relies on the point that Dany is not well liked and that the person on the throne is a better option but everyone does not like Cersei, this is a situation where Dany should've had the support of everyone.

@@madamehoefyre1808 well some madness is present in all the show storyline, so Cersei had that only change to survive, and the Capton were not as popular in other countries as in king's landing like to start a war for that. Even at the end, Dany just threw away all her purposes to destroy everything, spoiling her final meeting with Cersei, which would've been really exciting like a play between the "good love" and "sick passion"

Infortunately no, book Euron would have a more dark and frightening theme, just like Ramsay. The Light of the Seven is perfect for Cersei, Darkness and Sorrow intertwined, the pain of her loss and her wrath are very well depicted in here... Euron is just completely insane and mad, he does not have a tragic backstory (as far as we know) just like Cersei.

@@dimitrisolaz6921 Well, I am not sure about the tragic backstory in his case... The thing is this one: What is tragic? What can we consider tragic? When I read the chapters about the Iron Islands, I felt sorry for the people living there. The environment in there is just so hard and so violent that it necesarilly changes human characters. Especially if the person in question was born on the Iron Islands and has lived a huge part of his life on them. Among almost a barbarian culture (sorry, this is just how I perceived the people from the Iron Islands). It's hard to talk about tragic things when someone was born in such a hard environment. I think that to be born in such conditions is tragic enough. Also, it is important to mention that being "good" or "evil" is not always something we can choose. Some people are just born with different genetical structures, let's say with predisposition to act in a "good way" or "bad way". Tecnically speaking, psychopaths are exactly like that. They are born different. And if the social environment around them is hard enough, it can further reinforce their evil tendencies. I think that this may very well be the case of Euron. So I think that Euron's evil character is at least partially justifiable.
