I am from Washington state this reminds a little our olympic peninsula coast line and San jaun Island very beautiful place love see it some day

I visited Maine years ago and saw some of those great lighthouses. Portland Head, Pemaquid, Cape Elizabeth and Owls Head come to mind.

Ahhh yes! Portland Head Light is one of my favorites. I loved my stay in Maine, I'll never forget it. People were so nice and I felt like it was "home" to me. Better then home! I'm hoping one day I'll get back there again. Life goes by too fast & we miss out on the simple joys of life because we're busy with our daily lives.

Thank you Mike, for sharing this. My brother lives in Bowdinham, Maine and tells me so much about the beauty of that state. He sent us a special map of Maine that shows the locations of all of the lighthouses, and it makes me want to go there and see every one. Thanks again!

Maine is America's true last frontier and america's raw beauty state. Maine my home away from home. Maine lighthouses mystical and enchanting puts me in a state of isolated limbo.

This is so beautiful. I've always wanted to visit Maine but I've never made it. I wouldn't mind living there but I don't believe I could handle the Winters. I hear they are really rough. Anyway, you have a blessed day and enjoy your beautiful home state.

I love lighthouse since I was born in the lighthouse and I made in the lighthouse. My late father was a lighthouse keeper it surrounded by the nature.

Now this is a really dumb question. that noise in the background. Its a foghorn right? Because I don't see much fog, hahaha.

When my family moved to our home just ten minutes walk from Portland Headlight, my three-year old brother was frightened by the sound of the fog horn at light.
