As per schneider electrical sop lightining arrestor should be at least 10ft away from solar structure and 10ft above the solar highest point.

congratulations on your 1Million subscribers, Unfortunately the first visible mistake on your channel that i ever saw. Please ground the lightning arrester using copper strips and digging a hole with salt and charcoal pit, the main reason of lightning arrester is to ground the extra charge, if arrester is not grounded the charge would jump to the nearest ground connection which can be the solar panels, l2 structure or house wiring

I hv 8 kva solar system with lightening arrestor.Then added 4 kva unit and both units coupled.But installer didn't put lightening arrestor for 4 kva unit and says that previosly fitted lightening arrestor is enough. Is he right or should I ask to add separate lightening arrestor for new 4 kva unit ? Please advise.

An electrical Engineer, (phD, professor and HOD of Engineering dept of a university) passed a statement which somewhat says the lighting fall probability is higher on the roof having solar panels (due to some electrical cloud formation? or other.). I dont remember his exact wording. May be some electerical engineer can reconfirm it

یہ طریقہ اور بھی خطرناک ہے ۔ lightening arrester کو گراونڈڈ ہونا چاہیے۔ اس طریقے میں آپ نے lightening کو arrest تو کر لیا لیکن اب یہ جائے گی کہاں ۔ لازما آس پاس کی چیزوں یعنی panels وغیرہ پر۔ اس پر وہ مثال صادق آتی ہے کہ "آبیل مجھے مار"

@@Zahra-tp5lv ایسا کہی لاکھوں میں ایک ہوتا ہے ۔ بجلی اصل میں نہ صرف پورے سولر سسٹم کو تباہ کر سکتی ہے بلکہ سولر کی وائر کے ذریعے نیچے آکر ساری الیکٹرانک اشیاء کو اور ان سے کوئی انسان بھی ٹچ ہو سب کو نقصان پہنچا سکتی ہے لیکن جیسا میں نے پہلے کہا ایسا لاکھوں میں ایک ہوتا ہے ۔ ہم نے بھی ارتھنگ نہیں کی ہوئی ہے
