I don't really think it's fair for people to say her talent is questionable after watching this video. Most people who have said that probably don't even know who she is. She's mainly an electro-pop artist, and we should be thankful that she's willing to step out of her comfort zone and do something different. It takes a huge amount of courage to do that. She also writes, produces, and sings her own songs. Isn't that talent? It's rare that a pop artist can play acoustically and still shine :)

I listened to the first two seconds of her singing and instantly loved this.

This song for me takes me to my teenage years. For me there were wastelands I encountered on a magic carpet ride. ;-). But this cover Behind Blue Eyes really made a strong impression on me. Lights or as she calls herself puts an acoustical power behind this raw lyric. Her vocals burn with the heat of a coal furnace, hot and whispery. The Who should be pleased with her performance. I will be looking for more of her work.

Met her (twice) and she is so genuine and actually gives a shit about her fans. First time it was 105 degrees here in Las Cruces, New Mexico at Warped Tour; but she stayed at her both after her performance and signed everything and took photos with all of us. Thanks to her for that. Hooked for life...can't wait for the next album.

Being able to sing and knowing how to sing are two different things. A lot of people can sing, but you barely ever see anyone who knows how to controll their voice perfectly to suit the song. Thats why this is so beautiful. Because not only can she sing, but she also knows how to sing and make this song more beautiful than the original.

I've been a huge fan of the who for as long as I can remember, I've also been a big fan of LIGHTS for a few years now so when I stumbled across this the stars aligned

wow. this blew my expectations out of the water. i didn't think it would be possible for some random pop singer to be able to play a song by the (absolutely incredible) but this is very, very well done. she sounds incredibly unique, and she's got a great amount of emotion in her voice. mad props, lights. this is awesome.

Why is everyone covering limp bizkit's version? The original version sounds much much...much better..

The only problem I have with this cover is that in my opinion shes not 'Behind' the words of the song. To me "behind blue eyes" lyrically you NEED to breathe each word as if its your last one. The song shows inner strength, inner turmoil, helplessness and yet perseverance - " If I swallow anything evil Put your finger down my throat". She's trying I just think her vocals are too 'light' for the song. just my opinion though.

She's quite talented, but this particular rendition really didn't do justice to the original, in my opinion. Of course no cover should ever sound just like the original; that's not my point. Even the Limp Bizkit cover retained some of the emotion of the original. This version just just seems really dry, its missing a lot of depth. I'm not criticizing her as a musician, I just don't think this particular song was done very well.

We all need a little Who in our lives. You did great take on this classic rock tune.
