I'm 58 years old and a die hard Floyd fan since the beginning. Miley makes this song her own with more style and simplicity than any other artist who has covered It . This tune Is older than her and she owns It. Bravo girl.

He was always the life of the party..he loved to sing and play guitar..was so animated and made everyone he met laugh. He had such a good heart and would help anyone if he could.. Strange to think that people born around my year (1987) never heard of Pink Floyd. But the small area that I live in happens to have only a handful of radio stations, and luckily I grew up listening to two of them which were pop oldies and a rock station that still plays the same rock and roll day in and day out when it comes to the oldies. So to me it was just the norm.

It's funny, brother. I remember being at a barbecue and I was sat playing Sabbath, Thin Lizzy, and Blue Oyster Cult. My friend's (new) step-dad comes up and sits beside me and him. First thing he says is: 'I bet you don't even know who these guys are, do you?' I wave my phone, which is hooked up to the aux, and say: 'Thin Lizzy. Jailbreak. 1976.' Be careful with this attitude you have. Some of us grew up with the right parents. And sometimes, even though we're 'millennials,' we've had the internet a hell've a lot more time than you: and plenty of time to do our research.

@@Zooptopus27 well, mostly because, they were from the 60's, originally. They weren't nearly as popular in the 80's, with the teens, as they were in the 60's. They are more in the psychedelic era of music, than that of heavy metal and glam rock. Which, the 80's, were more of the heavy metal and glam rock, than the psychedelic stuff. Even though, they were able to intermesh with each other on the radio stations and all. But, they were around the time that Lynyrd Skynyrd, Deep Purple, Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and the other bands were writing song's about getting high on acid, instead of mostly weed. But, like I said, they still kept going through the 70's, 80's and early 90's. At least until the grunge rock music and the rap music took over the lead of the music world. They obviously stuck around with us diehard fans, of course. But, they weren't at the top of the billboards anymore, though...

Well I'm 57 Miley. This a beautiful cover. A confident delivery start to finish. A well thought out arrangement staying true to every chord change. Other than some muting and a few throw away notes you delivered the songs message very well. A trademark feature within so many Pink Floyd songs is the intro attention grab. Your distinct voicing delivered just enough rasp and vulnerability. Great job Miley. Seems your sweet spots in life have been found.

I don’t think it was necessarily that people were upset with her for dropping the disney persona. I think it was moreso that the hip hop persona she picked up clearly still wasn’t HER. We could all tell she still wasn’t her self. It’s when she stopped trying so hard to “not be disney”, that she really found herself and her voice. THIS sound is so much more her. You can hear the emotion in every note. She didn’t really have that immediately after disney although her talent was still undeniable.
