it kills me that when you type lights into youtube an ellie goulding song comes up first. she is too good to be virtually unknown in comparison to huge shitty pop artists. So glad i got to see her live.

its because LIGHTS is different. she isnt mainstream and she found her own way in life. people dont like someone intimidation. she doesnt have to go on a stage with glitter everywhere and looking like a hot mess to steal the hearts of millions. and how does she steal our hearts. by actually writing her music about life. uses real instuments. loves what she does.

Lights is signed with labels such as Universal and Warner Bros. Some of the biggest names in alternative rock maintain their fanbase by keeping low profile. It's like giving brands for musicians and there's a brand for everyone. Lights chooses to be branded this way and it's smart of her to do so. :)
