I've been told sugi hara Supplys the stihl light bars in NZ, makes sense if you put them in front of a high power light you can see the sugi hara marks under the stihl paint

Nice comparison. I prefer the X-Tough lightweight Husqvarna/Sugihara bars. They're extremely durable. I can feel the weight difference between them and the Oregon bars. Especially in 32in. Doesn't wear me out lugging the saw around all day. They're the only lightweight bars I haven't had issues with.

you should really check out the cannon duralites... by far the stiffest light bar on the market... Stihl es light bars are probably the lightest on the market... and I've never had a problem with them... I've found the Japanese bars are just to flexible for me

Tsumura was, for me, the entrance into the lightweight bar arena. I've been using a 24" on a 60cc saw for over three years, and I could not be happier with it. We have a lot of black locust where I live, and the bar has absolutely been put through the paces. Aside from normal wear/tear and maintenance measures, the bar has exceeded my expectations. For what it's worth, I like them. That said.....the price on them is higher than they used to be, sadly. For the money, I'd almost be inclined toward the Stihl lightweights, which are also fantastic bars. My only knock against the Stihl bars is the anorexic oil ports. But that's nothing a properly sized drill bit can't fix. Be well, all. Stay safe out there.
@Kirks_Custom_Chainsaws
@Kirks_Custom_Chainsaws 7 ай бұрын
Thank you! I completely agree, 24" LW bar on a 60cc (ported 😁) saw is a dynamite package! I do favor the Stihl es light bars just a little bit more than the rest, but I know what you're saying, the prices on all of them are going through the roof. And yes, most of my bars have had some minor rotary tool work on the oil ports to open them just a bit. Stay tuned and Saw Safe!

I have a stihl 25” light on an 036. It’s not the fastest out there because it’s light on power but for bucking up your usual 12”-24” trees that make good firewood, it sure is nice. It balances out perfectly on the 036 and I assume it would on a 400 or 462. Those light bars make such a difference that I limb with a 25 instead of grabbing my 026 with a 16” bar because of the reach I have with it.

Great informative video! I own a tree service business and cut production timber. I run the Stihl light bars, and Sugihara/Husqvarna light bars. The Sugihara is a much better quality bar over the Stihl for everyday use. Even tho the weight is a little more, the tradeoff is worth it. I just ordered a Tsumura Premium Light bar in 32", and I'm anxious to see how it holds up. As far as lightweight vs standard weight bars go, guys that are breaking the light bars are terribly hard on their saws, and everything is breaking on them. If given the option, lightweight is the only way to go.

Thank you Mitch! Very well said! I completely agree, I’m definitely a fan of the lightweight bars. And you’re absolutely right about the abuse… guys that destroy their bars typically destroy everything and ask questions like: “How did my intake boot get torn, I was just bucking some firewood???” Yeah, ok😂😂😂 Thx again man, btw; I really like your 572xp vs ms462 vid.👍🏻. I have both saws and I’ll be porting them as soon as I slow down a little bit! Saw Safe man!👍🏻

I’m not really sure to be honest. I would have to weigh the chains themselves. It would be interesting to see the difference in weight of each gauge. I’ll have to pull some of my chains together and weigh them. Same DL count, just different gauge; .050”, .058”, & .063”. See if there is any noticeable difference. Thanks for commenting! Saw safe!

Don't waste you money on any of that crap they bend and wear just as fast as any other. The sugi and the husky are the same its made buy sugi hara. Worst bar I ever bought have had four of them for some reason there junk. Just buy the recommended Bar and chain and save some money. Never noticed the difference in actual use in alight bar compared to light bar.
