Lightwish Pastel pencils, First Look and Colour / Adult Colouring / Adult Coloring

My first look and colour with Chalk Pastel pencils by Nyoni. This is a 24 pencil set, and has a nice selection of earthy tones. Can we use them in a colouring book? I had a go to find out.
Lightwish very kindly sent me these, and it was fun seeing what I could do with them. Thanks so much to them for supporting my channel by letting me try some of their products.

Whatever you do don’t put them through an electric or crank sharpener unless your ready to send it to pencil heaven 😂😂😂❤️❤️

Aaah thanks Sherry, ❤️ I wasn't sure how this would go, I've not really used pastels before, so I wasn't sure I could do the whole image with them, but I got there. It's was much quicker using these. Glad you enjoyed it, x ❤️💗

your picture is lovely Wendy , it gives a whole different look using them for all the picture , can you recommend a fixative please ?

Thanks Louise, its was a bit of a learning curve, but I enjoyed it. Sadly I was hoping someone might recommend me one, as I don't currently have any either. I think I'll have to have a read about which ones are worth getting. I think I want one that I can work over with coloured pencils, as that would be most useful. I'll mention it in a video if I find a good one, x 👍

They are a good addition to the colouring kit, much quicker working with these, great for backgrounds, and skys. 👍❤️

My issue with pastel pencils is that noise they make. It gives me the icky icky. And then when you’re using them in the regular form, like pastel sticks, you get that dust, and that gets me the ick too. Lol. You did wonderfully here.

Like the sound gets me so bad that I had to mute it while you were swatching. Sorry about that.

Lol! Sorry, 😁 sadly not much I can do about the noise but I know what you mean, ( Nails on a blackboard feeling!😂) I don't love holding normal pastels, but I quite liked working with these in pencil form, it's much more managable, and not all over my hands. Thanks so much Angela, glad you managed to watch some of it, x 😁❤️

@@wendyscolouring oh I watched it all. Just part of it muted. Lol. Yeah, there doesn’t seem to be any kind of pastel pencil that don’t make that sound. I’ve looked. Cause I love the look of it, but I can’t handle the dust on my fingers or the sound. No luck for me.

Is there something to put on them to set them so as not to smear or get on other pages and such ?

Yes there are fixative sprays that you can set them with. I don't have any myself at the moment, but will have to get some to fix this page. Better sprayed outside as they can be a bit smelly and unpleasant.
