I agree. Roxys version is full bodied. Neil's version is awesome, and centers around 1 musician, Roxys involves multiple musicians, And no one is gonna argue that Bryans voice is a scoch smoother. So I say Roxy for the win

@@jessewoody5772 On alternate weeks Ferry's version is my favorite of the two, except when Young's is. When I compare two equally gifted musicians (Jimi and Stevie Ray, for example) I favor the original artist a bit. For how would the cover artist have a timeless composition to improve upon without that original masterpiece?

I count myself as one of those young persons who is now a few years older, LOL! I remember a friend of mine playing this on his portable cassette player; “ghetto blaster”’ as they were called (probably can’t use that term anymore?) in the early eighties. It was the summer of 1983, a year after Avalon had been released and Roxy Music was all but done. Young people who lament contemporary music versus the music of the past (such as this) need not be disenchanted. Thanks to KZfaq, Sirius XM, iTunes, Spotify, etc., etc., there now exists a plethora of resources to both listen to, and watch, music performers from the past. In 1983 None of these mediums were even thought of. You had live albums to listen to, or you went to a concert to see your favourite artist live. Now you can listen to, or watch these stellar musical performances from yesteryear from a device held in the palm of your hand. So in that regard young music aficionados of the present are truly blessed.
