It's blacking it's easier for the blaster to break through than say 2 pack 👍

Strawberry island? I had a mate who bought a dodgy boat from hull and it sank there! Also he was stunk in the mouth by a wasp while sinking lol , the guy was from doncaster a painter and quite a character who ended up doing very well for himself.

Much better than the previous boat. The previous boat had a lot of pitting on the sides. If I might ask? What about the bottom of the boats that are in realy bad shape. We have seen you do a couple of blasting of the bottom of boats, but not many.

Yeah its not as popular of a maintenance job as the sides mainly because it's thicker steel and its not bobbing in and out the water like the sides and possibly out of sight out of mind haha

Is it more fun to blast a boat that has so much crud and then you can see how much of a difference you made?

😏 I like seeing white steel don't get me wrong nothing wrong with leaving etched up milscale but it makes for a nice after shot when the steel is uniform. I also enjoyed this because it jumped off and I was up by an hour or so then usual just a nice all-round job 😊 also the editing was faster than normal 😊

Hey Mick great vlog as always. Just one question however, do you ever do the actual underside of these boats? I don’t think I’ve ever seen you doing one, I may be wrong though 🤔👍🇬🇧

Yeah I've videos on hear but it's not as popular as the sides as the base is thicker steel and its not bobbing around in the water

Where there are those pitted marks do they use a body filler type stuff and smooth it before paint Mick ?

@ringstinga if its not below minimum standards then they normally paint over them if its on or below the minimum they fill it with weld and grind them flat to bring the steel back up to spec 👌👍

Hey Mick, what's the cfm on your compressor? Seems like it allows you to cut through pretty easily.

425cfm at 125psi this would have been easy with 100cfm it was jumping off 😂👍

Not sure to be honest I think it's because it's thicker steel and its not bobbing in and out of the water so it don't get chance to see air or dry out this is when rusting happens quicker

I do work at the other boat yard and that is a club run by members this was part of that club and they have a very cheap and nice dry Dock only for members. Half the time they pull boats out just to touch up the blacking 👍
