I have never seen a more attentive newborn than Bee's little one, at about 12 hours old! Normally, at that age, they are glued to mom's teat! 😍

I had hoped Celessa would come around and start acting more like a normal mother, but I guess Nora's example is just too deeply ingrained. Cecil's little squeaks and cries are heart-wrenching.

That must really be uncomfortable for Cellessa when he’s nursing. I hope it becomes more comfortable for her. It doesn’t look like she produces a lot of milk. She definitely could be gentler but she is a wild animal at the end of the day.

I'm glad that Celessa got a break from Cecil. She has a good little babysitter there. Celessa has plenty of good moms and babies around her to learn from. They looked pretty concerned about the way she was treating him.

Bless Niall little heart ,watching him try to babysit his baby nephew. It's like he really knows his big sister is a little crazy so he wants to protect his nephew. Yes I know I read into their actions a little too much. It looked like a few times that Celessa was trying to give the baby to her mom. I do hope Celessa calms down as she goes and that by time she has another baby fingers crossed she will be better, and the discomfort she feels when nursing hopefully fully diminish. Cecil is such a good baby he only cries or acts out after she pushes him. Hopefully Nora is going to keep helping and do the same that her own mother did for her. And again I'm so thrilled for Bee her baby girl is so cute and expressive I love the little frown faces she makes she already looks like a super smart baby. I have a suggestion for Bee's baby: Bumble, Honey, or Busy. This little one is incredible. How, wide-eyed, active and curious it is and it's not even a day old. So precocious. Ellie's little girl: Essa, Eva, Elsa, Ella Celessa definitely did not have a good role model for motherhood. I wonder if nipple tenderness could be the issue and if that could be hereditary. AM also posits that Nora suffers severe PPD. Is that also hereditary? Mental health issues in humans can be, so can it also be so in monkeys. Maybe Cecil has teeth, and he's biting her teats. She may not know how to stop it. I remember AM filming first-time mo. Lock as a whirling dervish because Lockie kept biting her. I do hope Celessa is able to figure it out. Cecil is getting nourishment, so she is allowing him to nurse. He doesn't look like he's starving, nor does he look dehydrated unlike Nora's infants. Hopefully, with Nora not having a baby, she can calm her down. I shudder to think of both Nora and Celessa doing this at the same time.

Yup. Wouldn't be surprised if Celessa treats her babies exactly like Nora treated her. And how she's watched Nora treat every baby she's birthed since Celessa. Sad for the babies. But not unexpected. Many mothers will treat their own babies as they themselves were treated. Good or bad. Just like Reddy's babies have been very caring. And how Teeny will probably raid most of the food from her own babies when she gets them. There was an older female that would try to put some brakes on Nora's excessive abuse of her babies. Granny or Aunty? Is she still around? Or long gone. She would be a nice mitigator. At least with Celessa, after she pushes the baby away from nursing onto her back, she typically brings it back to the teat in short time. Nora would leave the baby there. She allows the baby to latch on for extended periods of time before shoving the baby onto her back. Nora seemingly couldn't stand to let her babies latch on for even a moment. Sometimes couldn't seem to be able to stand to have her babies even cling to her belly.

I love the name Bizee for Bees baby! It is perfect for her as she is a Bizee bee already and just born!

If Bee's baby girl was born today (I'm not question it at all), she's one of the most developed a day old babies I've ever seen. She started being fascinated over her arms and hands. Her careful tentativeness's of her close surrounding. The way she looked around and fixed her gaze on the things interested to her and the way she used her tongue. 🤓🇸🇪

I haven't finish watching the video yet but before I forget as I did the first time we saw Cecil and his grandma close. We do know a lot of Rhesus macaque facial expressions but we don't know all of them. We also know they have feelings so I'm not sure how scientifically correct this is but I saw disbelief on Nora as she watch her daughter handle Cecil the way she still does. I also saw a hint of it today too. I have no hope Nora will add 1+1 and come up to 2 when she have her own babies but she seems to be there for Cecil like Nan has been for the most part of Nora's babies in Nora's postpartum behaviour state. I don't think Celessa suffer from postpartum behaviour problems. I think her nipples are sensitive but she handle Cecil the way she learned from her mother. 🤓🇸🇪
