Soon it will be summer again. Soon I'll be sitting outside just past sunset, with fireflies and mosquitoes floating lazily around me, and a dying fire with marshmallows roasters propped against it at the center of a camp site. Somewhere, a kid will be yelling and having the time of their childhood. Somewhere, a soft guitar will lift into the night on the smoke and embers and quiet voices will hum alongside it. Soon it will be summer again. My hair will be sun bleached and damaged by chlorine and salt water. It will never feel smooth like it did in the other seasons, but it feels like life is right and I am happy. My skin is dark and I show off my tan lines like badges, saying this is how long I spent outside today. This is how long I was in nature. This is how long I was alive. I smell like sweat and sunscreen and mangoes and watermelon and I will go to sleep in my hammock without worrying about what I have to do tomorrow. Soon it will be summer again. I will look for romance in every coffee shop and hiking trail, and when I find friendship, I'll laugh and pin it in my photo album titled "When I Am Happy". I will take photos on old dingy cameras and refuse to record anything beyond proof to my mother that I'm alive. I will explore the world that exists in campsites and city pools and hiking trails and hot bus stops. Soon my goal will flit from moment to moment on what gives me adventure, joy, and a good story. And soon it will be summer again. Soon, soon, soon. In these cold winter months I have to remember. Soon it will be summer again.

I discovered this cover quite late from when this was uploaded, but I just want to tell you how much I appreciate this cover. This is by far one of, if not the most beautiful Hozier covers out there. I have an anxiety disorder, and have been listening to it the past couple of months and it really helps me feel grounded. The dark, but warm atmosphere of the video, really brings me a lot of warmth. I have been listening to this the past couple nights as I've had a hard time trying to get through some big emotions recently. Thank you, Chase, and most of all to Sierra for her incredibly warm and home-y voice. I haven't felt this way about music in a while.
