Norway Chess is a 10-player round-robin featuring Top 5 stars Magnus Carlsen, Alireza Firouzja and Hikaru Nakamura taking place in Stavanger, Norway from 30 May to 9 June. Each of the 9 rounds consists of a classical game where a win is worth 2 points and a loss 0. If the players draw they play an Armageddon game, where the winner earns 1.5 points and the loser 1 point. No draw offers are allowed before move 30.
The 3+2 blitz opener takes place on Monday 29th and will give the winners the chance to pick their pairing numbers for the main event. The classical time control is 2 hours for all moves, with a 10-second increment per move only after move 40. For Armageddon White (the same player who had White in the classical game) has 10 minutes to Black's 7, with a 1-second increment from move 41. Black wins if the game ends in a draw. A tie for 1st place will be decided by two 3+2 blitz games followed, if necessary, by a 5 vs. 4-minute Armageddon game. Official website: norwaychess.no

I mean Tari isn't that highly rated compared to these 2750+ super GM's a hundred or more rating points really shows in games like these. We'd see the same sort of thing if Tari was playing against 2500 rated players that we saw here where he would dismantle them methodically.

What's so funny about it? Norway is a small country. Arguably the greatest player of all time belonging to such a small country is itself a huge thing. Even if we forget about Magnus for a second, it's completely fine for the highest rated player of a small country like Norway to be rated 2650.

@@da96103 Netherland is a small country compare to Norway but they have Max Euwe (formal World Champion) , Anish Giri (Super GM) , Jan Timman (Former top 10 player when kasparov, karpov, anand, Short, Ivanchuk and kramnik were active players) so stop saying that population is directly related to having more quality and top level players. another example is cuba...a country where still chess is not popular and from there the greatest endgame player of all time came CAPABLANCA.

Of course, this was a great performance by Fabi. But it really wasn't a "Queen sacrifice" since he automatically got two rooks for the Queen. And without taking anything away from Fabi, the f5+ move (before capturing the rook on e2) was pretty obvious...at least for someone rated 1800 and over!
