It seems largest stakeholder in ITNL was another PSU giant LIC. In fact I think the chairman of LIC was also a board member.

Abudhabi investment infrastructure fund was ready to take over, another company from japan Orix sent a proposal to acquire it and infuse funds from japan. Both proposal rejected by govt and since then investors, banks shareholders everybody lost their investment. What kind of Board appointed by govt who are sitting and enjoying without any outcome
