There is a spoken poem section at the end of the studio version, written by Tuomas in an ode to the original, voiced by friends and family of the band. Omg. I've seen all your Nightwish reactions and commented on a few, but I wanted to say your comment about how you love seeing it pan back and forth from the crowd to the band and how it seems like everyone is feeding off each other's energy. I saw them live in NYC last year. You could not be more correct in that observation. It was one of the most amazing things about that show. The energy. Floor is an astonishing presence on stage. Commanding, charming, mesmerizing. She gestured to clap or cheer or shout and we did. How could you not? And she'd smile and say thanks, or give a thumbs up, and then you could feel that coming right back at us with even more intensity from her - and smiles - all smiles. Was the greatest show I have ever seen in my life. You have to do Everdream from this concert. Run, don't walk!

Absolutely EVERY song from this concert should be checked out! There's not a bad one or a 'just OK' one on that set list! This was literally the monster concert of all concerts. IMHO.

I recently started to listen to NightWish and I absolutely love their energy and the lead singers voice. The interaction from both bands and fans at live shows is like nothing I've ever seen before 🖤🤘

'Song of myself' was the epic conclusion of the concept saga album 'Imaginaerum' (2011) ... the story of fantasy story writer, dying in his old age and revisiting the world he had created in his imagination one last time as his daughter reads his words to him.

Every song from this show is worth checking out Lilly Jane. If you are going to master the windmill style headbanging I will pass on an important tip from Floor herself. Watch when she does it. She bends her knees slightly with feet apart for stability. Then she puts her hand on her hips to help support her back and lets fly with the epic head spins. Good luck. Go slow. You may get dizzy and fall. You will also need to build up your neck muscles I look forward to more great reactions from you. See you then.

Just select any song from this concert at Wacken...they are all great!!! I am probably old enough to be your grandfather... At 65 years young....and I love Nightwish. I have always loved my music to be on the Hard Rock/Heavy Metal! And I started listen to it at 8 years old listening to Jimi Hendrix, Ozzy Osbourne & Black Sabbath, Grand Funk Railroad, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Steppenwolf... AC/DC... Boston...Metallica.... Judas Priest...and many more! I had to laugh a little when you were talking about head banging....my two best friends and I went to a big heavy metal concert....Mega Death, and Judas Priest. So, the three of us had got together at my apartment, and I drove us there because I am disabled...and I have a Handicap parking permit....so we parked right in the front! Now....we are all in our business suits, with business style haircuts! We got funny looks....but once the music started....we were head bangin' like everyone else!!! Afterwards, my friends said we had to be the only males with short hair at the concert! 😂😂😂😂

Hi Lilly Jane, new to your channel andca great start as this is No 2 in my favourites list. Marco is superb - I love his second entry (the rising gliss) so much I extracted it and have it as my ringtone. Favourite parts: Piano Black , and particularly the best description of depression I've heard - "sometimes the within is piano black". Piano black - that deep glossy black that almost evades the eye. Emppu holding that long note one-handed as he drinks a Corona. The unexpected pauses (rests) towards the end, particularly, in this performance, when Floor turns her hands upwards and the flames seem to come from her palms. Great chuggy rhythms in the breakdown. Little pizzicato string sections in the run-up to that ending. At the end the lead vocals use the same lyrics as the choir are singing in the earlier parts - "All that great heart lying still and slowly dying All that great heart lying still on an angelwing". That lyric is perfect for the staccato rhythm. ...and lots more And if you think this is the best concert ever, wait till you get to their 2018 Buenos Aires concert...

From this concert? Last Ride of The Day - it was literally the final song of the whole show. Otherwise I can NOT recommend The Greatest Show on Earth enough. It might be their Magnum Opus.

The entire concert is flawless from start to end. EVERY SONG. And the same can be said for these live shows. Wacken 2013 (this one) Wembley Buenos Aires Tampere Hellfest Even if some of the same songs are played, its always a different or special experience from others!

I just got off work. I am introducing a coworker to Nightwish writing out a play list. When I realized I'd recommend 11 out of the 15 songs from Wacken 2013 I said. "Hell. I've recommend 11 out of 15 songs from this concert so you may as well listen to the whole thing." I'll give you the same advice. Every song from Wacken 2013 is worth reacting to. Except "I Want My Tears Back". For that song I prefer the Buenos Aires 2018 concert.

First is "From wishes to eternity" ... filmed in 2000 in a theater w/ Tarja on vocals...Marco (bass/ vocals) was not even in the band back then... The live version of 'Wanderlust' ... 'She is my sin'... r incredible 🔥🤘 Second is "End of an Era"... filmed in 2005 in Helsinki for what was Tarja's final Nightwish show. The live versions of 'Dark chest of wonders'... As far as this being the greatest concert performance of all time, I wouldn't go that far, but Nightwish could have put on the greatest performance. This was a shortened set as it was part of a festival....additionally the set list does not have 2 of the "big 3". Poet and the Pendulum and The Greatest Show on Earth. Throw those two songs on the setlist and bring back Marko for the show and that could well be the greatest live performance ever.......which is saying a bit as I've seen the Stones. Led Zepplin and the Who is Madison Square Garden and Bruce Springsteen in his home territory in New Jersey.....Nightwish would definitely be in the conversation with these groups. PS......I suspect most of the other Lily Janiacs will have to ask their grandparents about those groups

I wouldn't say it the best concert ever but up there with the best across all genres. But arguably Nightwish's best concert but there's at least one other you can argue too. It's my favorite though, I have the DVD.
