This is our Valkyrie Goddess for you. And you witnessed first hand a "Dutch Windmill" , and to finish you off, The Operatic "Cruise Missile" !!!! Floor has 3 distinct styles. Head banging(straight forward, then back), hair whip(almost like cracking a bull whip) and the Windmill(continuous 360 degree revolutions). Why Windmill? Well she is Dutch. Awesome tune , although it is kind of a pop/Rockish sound (originally sung by Anette, the second singer of Nightwish), but Floor gave it soooo much POWER !!! Including this "Operatic" part, what was originally done by children's choir because vocal limitations on their second singer (Great singer also, I might add), but Floor has none of that "Limit". Nightwish lyrics are often a bit interpretive, and not as "straight forward" as many other bands, because Tuomas ( The Metal Mozart Tuomas Holopainen: founder, leader, keyboardist, songwriter and the main composer for Nightwish.) prefers people to put their own interpretations and life experiences into the lyrics. you connect with songs on a personal level when there is something there that relates to things you have gone/are going through, and you may even find new connections later on in life when you have gone through other big events/emotions. there might be songs you are quite indifferent about (oh, nice song) and then you go through something big and all of a sudden it makes you break down in tears because now you relate to something in the lyrics you didn't before, and see it from a whole new perspective. imagination and life experiences are powerful, and Tuomas has great appreciation of this. Ghost Love Score started my Nightwish journey and that epic song at the Wacken 2013 open air festival was and still is the best music i ever heard🔥🔥 I also love Romanticide & Ghost River a lot. But then again you can’t really go wrong with Nightwish, they always deliver.

Huge Nightwish Fan here and I have to say that so far you are the only person that has mentioned the Dude in the Hat in the audience that is just standing there. I love that you caught that and pointed it out!!!! As for other songs, there are SO many, pretty much anything from this concert it amazing but a few of my personal favorites are Romanticide, Ever Dream and I really think you would like Song of myself again same concert.

I want my tears back live in Buenos Aires is the most energetic feel good song. if you want some official music videos Scaretale (official music video with Anette) is awesome, and also Noise (official music video) from newest album is as masterpiece of a video.. there is more i could suggest, some cool older stuff, and also more recent, but lets keep it to this for now..

Because you just heard how high Floor can go. In Yours Is An Empty Hope, you hear how low she can go -- by _growling._ Yes, you heard that right, our Valkyrie Floor goes from an operatic high, to a low, sustained growl. Should you react to Yours Is An Empty Hope, the only thing I can tell you is that Marko, the bassist, also sings -- but in Yours Is An Empty Hope, you'll see Floor with the mic up to her mouth, but you'll only hear Marko singing. And believe me, the first time I heard Floor growl, my mind was _blown._ 🤯 I had no idea Floor could go that low, and be that consistent with the vocal pressure. And her growling is a testament to how healthy Floor sings, and how much she takes care of her voice.

My favorite Nightwish song is the Nightwish song I am currently listening to or have just listen to. Any song on Gabriel’s list. That guy maybe from Amish folk in Germany. I believe Wacken is in a rural part of Germany which specializes in cattle. There may be Amish settlements nearby.

The guy with the hat is one of several (about 1 per 100 people I'd guess), but the only one caught on camera. He's one of the health/safety team and they're very serious. I saw quite a few as they were interspersed (I was at this concert).

The weird guy in the hat is probably the only Anette fan who didn't get the memo that Nightwish had an new incredible singer and refused to be entertained. As for personal favourite at this concert it would be Song of Myself followed by the opener Dark Chest of Wonders. Really no bad songs since Floor started to sing them. Plus so many more great songs and concerts subsequently.
