My mom used to be known for her childrens' parties, and in particular Valentines was one of her favorite occasions! She would get an old bedsheet and put it under the kitchen table to protect the floor, and then let like 15 children decorate pink red and white sugar cookies with sprinkles and icing! So I grew up in a house that was very pink, red and white around this time of year and this house gives those vibes.

0:01 YES IM SO GLAD SOMEONE GETS IT!! Valentine's is my favorite holiday solely for that reason. I love just walking around Walmart and seeing all the decor. The flowers, chocolates, cards, sweets, and balloons are nice and kind and beautiful, but personally Valentine's is about the vibes

unrelated but i wanted to mention that yesterday i started building a sims house from scratch! ive ALWAYS downloaded builds off the gallery (usually kaylas builds) and edited bedrooms for my needs but im playing a barbie legacy challenge with a big family so i needed quite a specific house ive been struggling a lot with random things like putting the oven by the front of the house, meaning the front of the house couldnt have windows but i got there and i somehow forgot a bedroom (i have 4 kids but only made 3 bedrooms + the parents) so now the 4th kids bedroom is in the middle of the house and doesnt have any windows but honestly im proud of myself for trying to build a house! i wouldnt have even attempted this if i didnt watch kayla and the build tutorial(s) she did a while ago really helped (especially for the roof) *tldr: thankyou for inspiring me to start building in the sims kayla

it might not have matched (bc it has a stone base) but theres a seasons mailbox with different seasonal swatches!! theres a valentines themed one thats pink with hearts and im using it for my sims house rn,, its so cute i definitely understand forgetting about what seasons items and swatches there are, like today i found out that small rug you used at the front at back doors has a rainbow swatch! also tip: instead of getting a child to make crafts for you, you can look in debug for the holiday decor (just dont turn on live edit on too as you might be searching for a while) /lh

Idea: a random wheel challenge where each room takes it color scheme from a different pride flag (and the exterior can be all out rainbow!) It’ll definitely force you to use colors a bit outside of your comfort zone.

My partner's Nana decorates her house likes this for every holiday and it's honestly amazing. I am a minimal decor person though I love tacky stuff.... I hope one day to be bold enough to go all out like she does. 🤣

For another heart challenge, maybe a heart shaped house but decorated and roofed like a normal house somehow? I don't know how that would work really but it kinda sounds fun

I like the idea of a "holiday house" series where it's the same shell/floorplan that is redecorated for every holiday/season including a neutral holiday-free version. Obviously we've had Christmas already, but if we take this shell to the end of the year, there can be a Christmas version at the end. But that way, it's like it's the same house and the family is just going all out for every holiday.
