Roofs are free. I wonder if there are free debug items that would make a semi functional build... *could* work (I don't know debug good enough myself for this though)

@@prisle The ones in debug aren't functional so at best she could create some shelter from the rain with the roof and fake some kind of building nearby but that would depend on how elaborate she wants to get. There are entire building shells but you can do all kinds of crazy stuff with TOOL using some of the random world items.

@@prisle Most functional debug items still cost money, like beds, toilets, and tubs. So you could build a house, but it would be lacking in some necessities. That might work in Sulani where you can shower in waterfalls, sleep on beach towels, etc, but you wouldn’t really be living *in the house*

good idea! doesn't even have to be super stressful, with 20 minutes total she could start with the base game to get the shell and basics down (stuff like walls, doors, a stove or a toilet) in the first 5 so she'll actually have a functional build by the end :D she could then later delete the already placed stuff if the pack she rolls next has something better.

@@moneybean Yes, I love that! 20 minutes so she has plenty of time to think (probably figure out her overall vision before she starts, per usual), and like you suggested, first 5 minutes to implement a really nice shell, with her being allowed to pull out what she wants per pack and place or move it whenever but once she deletes it, it's gone, she's no longer allowed to pull from any previous pack (other than base game on the off chance she decides to get spicy and change the shell a bit because she got something really awesome and wants to reshape a room or something, since she can absolutely build a shell in 5 minutes with a plan but this would allow for some spontaneity too.) I think that would be pleasant but still interesting with a different method of randomization.

yeah. to each their own but watching simsie videos is always funny to me as someone who always builds dingy, grungy things in the sims cause she'll put down something i use all the time and be audibly disgusted by it lol

simsie has said before that she doesn't use tool mod because she wants her builds to be easily replicated but i'm not sure why she doesn't use better buildbuy for debug
