A collectors scenario would be so cool, imagine having to catch all the fish, complete the my sims collections, the crystals, rocks etc. As someone who likes to idea of actually hunting for things like these, this would be a perfect one for me!

I think a scenario that is designed to take a long time would be good. Level 10 in a career, level 10 in 3 skills, good friends with 3 people, house worth 100k (more?) Something like that.

I tried playing it as a “new simmer”. I made sure not to get a job, cause when Deligracy did it she finished the scenario SUPER fast because of that. My scenario took 14 game days. I got the call about the dead grand relative person 4 times.

I’d like to see a scenario that explores sims being unsuccessful. All the time people play where their sims are constantly successful and might not realize the potential of letting their sim fail.

here's a challenge for you: You should do the grilled cheese aspiration with a sim who is lactose, Squeamish and a loner who hates cooking, painting and rocket science.

I like the scenarios but they need to be more complex and harder. I also don't mind some being limited time but they do need to add a few more that aren't. Having only 2 that aren't is not enough.

I feel like the reason why a lot of people (especially those deep within the sims community) aren’t feeling these scenarios is bc they all have a tendency to speed run them. Simmers already play their normal saves as legacy’s or generations, so they see these scenarios as more a task-type thing where they hyper focus on them instead of playing it slowly, which is how I think the sims team intended for them to be played. i noticed people who are new to the sims seem to enjoy them more bc they aren’t focused on trying to finish it in a certain amount of time

Kayla. The Style Influencer career has a lot more to it. You can add emotional auras to your outfits eventually and even start fashion trends where random Sims will wear outfits you design... and you can edit other Sims' outfits by giving them makeovers! D: :D

I miss the “have 10 children” and “Have 20 grandchildren” wants from Sims 2. Maybe something about raising a large family?

I would like to see a scenario that explores more of the game, like collecting all elements or complete 2 collections (fossils, frogs, fish, etc) or maybe visit all of the secret lots, I think that would be fun!

I’d personally love to see some like stacked scenarios where you have to complete one to get to the next and maybe different outcomes unlock different follow up scenarios, so basically choose your own adventure! I also def want hard mode lol and while I understand why they wouldn’t want to do it, they really should just put all the most popular challenges into the game and credit the creators (100 baby, legacy, black widow, rags to riches, super sim, etc)

I bought Eco Lifestyle during the holiday sale & I'm doing this scenario with my new hipster sim. It's actually a lot of fun because I am a new simmer, only been playing for about a month, but I have been doing it Rags to Riches style. I also am only allowed to complete it using Eco Lifestyle traits/careers/activities. I think I'm going to try this scenario with the magic world as well, for me it's a good way to stay motivated by learning more about the worlds.

I think adding on an extra “hard mode” goal to scenarios would make them so much better, like for example if you had the ability with this one to make it earn $25k but in a week or something like that

I think a good update to the game would be being able to change what work clothes that sims wear like you can pick the clothes that your employees wear but you could pick any of the clothes from the game

I think it would be fun if they included some building scenarios. I know they're mostly intended for gameplay, but what if we had a scenario for building and designing an award-winning restaurant or health spa, and you must build it yourself, and then play with it? Or a build scenario that takes advantage of one of the lot challenges? Something for some of us Simmers who have been playing for a long while.

I'm glad this scenario is less buggy. I tried the holiday enemies one and my sims just fought the whole time, literally got into a brawl, and it said I completed it successfully.... then it turned into a homeless girl rags to riches challenge because I had to leave the household as it was getting violent. :(

I grew up playing the sims on console. The game had an option for story mode, dealing with one of the Landgrabbs as the antagonist. I'd love to see them incorporate a story mode to the game.

I agree about needing a level system. Green-Yellow-Red. The hardest one for me so far wasn't hard, just time-consuming. That was the million simoleons. Not hard...just took longer (because I had them do it without a job).

Recently picked up Sims 4 again and ever since I started watching your videos my houses look soooo much better the amount of inspiration that I took from your videos has really helped me improve how my home looks, so for that I thank you 100% subscribing

I'd like to see some scenarios that aren't base game. I'm sure they want to keep them mainly BG, but pack-specific scenarios could expand the options immensely.

This scenario would've been more interesting if it involved Get to Work or any other expansion where you can actually have a real "hustle". The scenarios will continue to be boring, easy and basic as long as they stick to the base game. I totally understand how they need to be accessible to everyone, but the base game is limited as heck. They should make both base game ones and ones that actually give people who spent hundreds of dollars on EA's tomfoolery something to do.

i would love to see you try out some of the custom scenarios that simmers in the modding community have been putting out! i think my favorite one at the moment is the "high school sweethearts" one by kawaiistacie.

Would rags to riches be fun where you try to get rich from partying and dating? You know when you get those prices from events and then you could sell then.

I think having like three points of every skill would be a fun one. Or like however many skills are in the base game and then if you have more packs you can pick and choose your own skills

Honestly my dream scenario would be just a really easy way to set up/keep track of/score challenges we already do. Like let me pick "rags to riches' only be able to make a single sim in cas, let me choose whatever lot I want to regardless of cost, automatically bulldoze it and set my money to 0, then give me a counter for total money made (maybe some sort of requirements for a house, idk we all judge that one a little differently). Give me a counter and prompts for aging up kids once they hit milestones in 100 baby. even more ideally (but it would be a huge update and more than I think is realistic) let people create their own scenarios that they can share in the gallery with different requirements and other people could download and play.

As an experienced simmer, I try to come up with a "hard mode" version of all these scenarios. I did the perfectly well-rounded scenario with an elder, and it was a RACE to afford the first potion of youth before she died; honestly one of my favorite sims I've ever played! The toddler one I did while the YA was actively working AND going to college. The holiday one, I made the sims polar opposites to make it even harder. This one, I am using cross-stitching to make money and we all know how slowly THAT goes. The scenarios are relatively simple to appeal to a wide audience, but I'm having fun coming up with ways to make them more challenging!

More story-prompt type scenarios would be great, especially for family gameplay. Like a family where the parents and the teen are fighting, and you have to figure out how to improve their relationship.

I wish they would add difficulty levels. Easy could have 1 or 2 goals/stipulations, medium goes to 3 or 4 and so on.

I think they should set up their scenarios like bitlife does their challenges. Bitlife’s challenges are more narrowed in focus and are harder to achieve, plus they always have a fun theme like “the mean girls challenge” or the “Shawshank Redemption” challenge. I just think more specific challenges would make more actual simmers want to play them. They should also have a few more scenarios that you can do all the time, just so the casual players have a bit more to work with.

I would like to have a scenario where your sim is having really bad luck in every or at least some aspect of their life. Like if they are in a relationship their partner breaks up and even steals money from them, they get fired at work and don't find a new job whatsoever, bills are raised, maybe someone from their family dies and your sim has to pay for their funeral and inherited debts...

Ok off topic but Kayla just seems so wholesome. I really appreciate the diversity of her sims, models for her merch, and her gameplay stories. They represent so many different communities and groups, it just makes everyone feel good. :D

I would love a series of scenarios. Every month they release a new "chapter" scenario where it prompts you to create story almost? For example I would love to see one month they have the millionaire scenario then the next month your sim has to spend $500K, so even if you missed the first scenario you can still build up 500k and then spend it. And I'd love pack specific scenario, so you only see scenario for a pack if you own it. For cats and dogs it might be breed 3 generations of pets, for dream home decorator it might be to renovate 5 houses completely in orange?

I’d love a scenario where three roommates that dislike eachother have to go looking for something or someone in one of the hidden worlds

I hate how after your done that’s it you get some points but other then that it’s over your sim has no idea they completed this big goal the most celebration you get is a sound effect and it saying you completed it it’s so lackluster and it doesn’t feel like an achievement

I definitely think adding difficulty levels to the scenarios would be a good way to appeal to a wider array of players. I'm not a hardcore player like Kayla who plays all day everyday as my job, but I have been playing for years, and getting to level 3 of a career or 25k off a skill is really easy for me, but I'm not always in the mood to be let completely free and loose without a goal leveled to skills.

i would love a crazy cat lady scenario 😅 you have one sim and 7 cats, you have to raise them all from kittens and become companions with them all, your social gain can only go up by talking to your cats, your job is running a vet clinic but only for cats because this sim hates dogs 🤣 haha

I'd love to see a family scenario where each sim has a differnt goal. Like have an adult sim help kids with homework a few times in a week, get promoted at work, and or, upgrade a certain number items around the house. Have any teen sims gain a new skill/improve a skill, and meet friends, maybe get a job. Have a child complete an aspiration milestone, help cook and garden a certain number of times a week. I'd like to see a scenario that addressed all the sims in a house hold in differnt ways.

A challenge that I’d like to try is completing all of the New Year’s Resolutions within the first week of the Sim year, I think it would be fun!!

i was confused when i did this scenario. i thought the sim needed to be level 3 in career and level 5 in a skill and have $25k. my sim barely had $1,000 for like a week, so i was like wow this will take a while. I was so surprised when i completed it when i reached level 3 of my career because i had like no money still

In other previous Maxis games that had scenarios they had different scenarios based on difficulty level. So like in SimCity there were scenarios that went from very easy to extremely difficult (that wasn’t their official designation, but that’s essentially what they were). Same with SimEarth, SimAnt, SimTower, SimFarm, SimWorld, SimLife, SimHealth, SimPark, SimIsle, etc, etc, etc, etc. Sure there was the basic game, but then you had scenarios that threw you into a situation where you had objectives. Sure you could ignore those objectives and play on (even if it was a timed scenario), but it was there. I feel like the Sims team is still slowly introducing the scenarios to The Sims audience as that hasn’t really ever been a part of the franchise. Which is likely why players came up with their own. So I appreciate what they’ve done so far, even if I don’t like the limited time ones because sometimes I don’t get to play them within the time frame. I work a lot and help family and friends, so what limited free time I have I do enjoy playing video games...it’s just that I currently don’t have so much free time. Thus I appreciate that these scenarios aren’t something too lengthy to do yet still enjoyable to keep me playing them in one sitting. Not that I would dislike more difficult ones that I would have to save and come back to over multiple sittings, because I think those could be fun, too. I mainly like scenarios because whenever I try to do player made challenges I do sometimes forget rules, objectives, or even that that is what the save was that I last played whenever that was. I kinda keep hoping they develop a way for players to create scenarios (it was a thing in those games I mentioned earlier) and that we could download from the gallery or someplace. Either way, I’m happy with the scenarios thus far and have enjoyed the ones I have played. Enjoyed the video! I watched someone who decided to accomplish all the objectives so after they got the notification that they had completed the scenario they continued playing to achieve the other objectives. As they said in their video, they had become invested in accomplishing them all since they had played starting it without choosing just one and decided early on to work on each and see which they get first, but by the time they reach the first one they now had been working with a plan to accomplish all three and so wanted to finish the rest of the plan. It’s so much fun seeing how differently everyone plays this game and these scenarios!!

I think it would be more fun if you could only use crafts (cupcakes, paintings) and things like playing piano at a bar. the problem is, as Stanley showed us, not all can give a real profit.

Pls, do a challenge were you can only use the item once! Like you need to always have different doors, lights, beds etc… I think it would be really funny

Worth putting your thoughts and opinions to the Sims team! :) -They need to make all scenarios accessible and available to all. -Each to have 3 difficulty levels. -A menu, with categories (ie Holidays, love etc.) Still drop seasonal ones, but don't make them limited time, just put them in the holidays section. - If taking away 'limited time' add an in-game reward, even if it is just a gold trophy for completing within the timeframe (which is currently 'Limited time') and Silver for starting in the timeframe but not finishing in the time. And Bronze for starting/finishing at anytime (Ie. Completing surviving the xmas holidays scenario in the summer) They were my thoughts. It a useful UI to help gameplay and most if us have survived this long without it 💁‍♀️ Kayla, I would love the Not so Berry to be added, be so helpful to have a UI in-game with the info for each generation. Would they have to get your permission? No idea how it works 😅🙈

I think it would be cool if the challenges had optional tiers. so that people that dont play regularly can play the easiest two maybe and more experienced players can swift through those and start grinding for the long term ones. Something like the 10 generations challenge, but they probably dont want to name it that because they dont want to look like they just steal ideas from the challenges creators. but one could look like this (Im not a regular sims player so idk Im just making a bad example): Challenge: Happy Family Level 1. meeting someone. -have your sim make 4 close friends -while you and your friends are hanging out you meet someone -start a relationship with that sim and get married Level 2. Children -have you and your spouse reach at least level 6 of their career -you two decide to have children, get pregnant with your first one -have 4 children in total with the same partner Level 3. the chicks have left the nest -your youngest child just moved out, youre back to living alone with your partner. -you go back to spend more time with your 4 friends again, your partner is upset that you wont spend more time with them, you argue with them all the time -have your sims have a completely empty friendship bar but a full love bar because they are still in love even though they are fighting Level 4. Rekindling -try to apologise to your partner and start becoming friends again -go on 3 gold star dates -move to a different world for a fresh new start and then it could be optional to start the challenge new or a different challenge with one of the kids. if we had these kinda tier list challenges with the chance to start a new challenge in the same save file as the original challenge that would also be cool for the 10 generations challenge, like you could have the extra rule that you need to complete all 4 tiers before you can move on to the new generation etc. also this would give new simers more motivation to get invested in their sims and their kids and plan ahead

I really like the concept of scenarios because I wonder what modders can do with the framework: Like, would a modder be able to use the scenario system to build custom scenarios? One of the things I dislike about challenges is that I'll forget rules and do or buy something that makes it easier and then figure it out way later. By the time I notice, it's been too long for me to just say, "I'll delete it and keep going" so I feel compelled to start over or (more likely) quit. I love the idea of there being an in-game framework that shows me goals and rules and maybe even locks certain objects or abilities while the challenge is in play so I can't accidentally cheat.

A world class villain, to be hated by x many sims, to have won x many fights, max the mischief skill - something like that! I tend to play mostly using traits like family orientated or self assured or cheerful so I’m trying to be a bad simmer :P

I would love for the scenarios to award something other than reward points. An exclusive trait would be so cool. I don't feel the need to continue playing with these characters after I finish the scenarios, so something that would make playing that save extra special would be ideal. I also agree that these should be harder and take longer, so maybe scenarios where you have to meet goals that are different for each generation, for 3 generations? First gen could get something small for completing their goals, 2nd gen could get something bigger, and 3rd gen could be born with an exclusive trait and then also receive a reward when finished with their goals.

i love Basemental’s mod scenarios (although they are definitely rated R) because it’s taking me forever!! i’ve even taken a break from that save file since it got redundant to keep working on it, but in a way i like that, because i know it’s unfinished and i’ll return to it when i’m inspired!

Scenarios like this - where it’s money or item oriented - seem so similar to aspirations. Whereas the scenarios that actually start you with sims that have already had a life (ie they have preexisting emotions) seem way more fun.

I’ve generally completed this in less than an hour, I really wish they made them more complicated as well as just kept them in so you have a range for all types of things to do

I would love some kind of generational scenario to make up for not having generations (yet). something like starting out with only a young adult sim, but they need to become best friends with their grandchild and become partners in crime. Maybe they also need to max out the criminal career and the scenario ends when the child joins the career as well. something where traits and an easy storyline can be adapted and extended, ya know?

they should add a scenario about pets! maybe you have to have 7 pets in your household, become best friends with all of them, have to teach all of them every single trick, and play on short life span (so complete the scenario before any pet dies). the scenario could be called “a sim’s best friend”!

Simsie! You should try a "build a house where every room is a different challenge" challenge. Like if one room must abide by the certain amount of money for that room, then another room you have to spin a color wheel and only use that color, etc. I saw another person suggest this months ago. It's still a great idea! 😊😊

i feel like having a scenario thats like.... based around failure? like maybe the sim u make gets a reward trait thats like "unlucky" when ur in CAS and then u have to get to a certain point in ur career or get married or have kids when u play? idk i feel like way too often my sims are easily successful so i think it would be fun to have that bit of challenge (because the emotions system in ts4 really doesnt stop much of anything via getting successful)

I once got that style influencer career up to level 10+2. That's a relatively easy one. You don't need a trash can. There is a trash chute at the end of the hallway. You should try that apartment at the end of the hallway. Nice one if you want to improve your handiness skill... IF you don't mind a few rodents, odours, humidity, bugs, and fixing some hardware.

I think they should do difficulty level scenarios, a drop down would be all that is needed for each one. Picking easy, experienced, or insane difficulty which adds layers of more things to achieve would make the scenarios more fun. Right now they are all on easy, or as I see it boring mode. Adding in relationship, children, job levels, skill levels and money level or housing situations would make them possibly more fun, thinking like one of your levels of the Not So Berry challenge. Being able to start a scenario on an existing save and sim in play would also make things better. I did the survey they had out on the scenarios, I kind of let them have it for failing this whole thing and still having a broken game.

i hope they add scenarios that are pack specific and only show up if you have the pack! i think that would be a lot of fun to do specific challenges within packs!

Also I have a scenario save and it’s been kind of fun to use it to make townies and have storyline’s for multiple houses in a save cos usually I just drop into one house and have like side character households but I find myself switching it up a bit more cos I’m more invested in all these other households so I’m a fan of scenarios but yeah, some harder ones would definitely be fun.

These scenarios are so buggy! With the relationship one, all I had to do was have one sim leave the lot and invite the other to join them. And that triggered the goal. What I enjoy the most about the scenarios is building a house that fits with the prompt. :D

I would love a scenario where you have to move onto a lot that is completely trashed like a meteor or a ufo crashed into the house and the lot is destroyed and you have to build it back up. I swear that was a thing in sims 3 or some other sims game, or maybe that was a fever dream.

I wish the scenarios were more specific, like either a story based scenario like the love after a breakup one, or one that explores different aspects of the game. For example, a collection based one like collecting all the frogs or something, or visiting every lot in the base game etc.

I like the "Hard Mode" that Plumbella played recently. House with 8 Sims on Speed 3. Survive 1 week. No pausing. She doubled down recently by playing Sims 4 AND Sims 3 at the same time!

but… “get promoted” and “make money” are already key objectives of the sims. living with a sim you hate is a cool story starter! being recently dumped is a story starter! but “hey, your sim wants to make money and be successful!” is the general objective for most new players, so i’m not sure who this is supposed to appeal to?

It would be great if the scenarios had different levels like bronze, silver and gold levels with each being a bit more challenging so you start with a few easy goals and then as you move through, the goals become harder so that getting gold would be pretty hard. I think that would be interesting

I legit thought I needed to do both of the things so I speedran getting level 5 in fishing, and I had my Sim join the Civil Designer career from the Eco pack, and I thought I wasn't doing so well in progress and started a small retail store to sell furniture he made. I struggled so hard, I was selling stuff from my apartment so I wouldn't go bankrupt, then with 75 simoleons in my pocket, he got promoted to level 3 and I was shocked. I guess I made it harder for myself for no reason, cause I didn't completely understand the assignment. 🤣

I think there’s a simple solution to the scenario situation that would benefit casual players and (very) frequent players. Make difficulties! Imagine, scenario easy: gain level 3 career or reach 25K Scenario normal/medium: gain level 6 career AND reach 40k Scenario hard: gain level 10 career and have 30k reserved 50k saved. Then you can add more tasks to the harder levels like adding gain a skill while also adding obstacles that’ll hinder your progress like you can only do the villain career or simple living/off the grid

I tried the scenario that's about making 1 million simoleons and I found out that changing the household at ALL ends the scenario. Married? Can't move in with your spouse. Wanna go to university? Can't live in the dorm. It will end the scenario and you will get a pop up saying that if you want to go through with the household change it will end. Which I get, but it's also frustrating. So if it is made to be in the background, I have to wonder why moving to a different lot or adding people into your household ends it.

My dream scenario is the serial killer challenge, where the sims team acknowledges our need to treat our sims as terrible as possible by making it a goal to kill at least 10 sims in the span on 3 days without any cheats.

A level mode and the scenarios not disappearing would definitely make them more appealing to me.

I think it would be so fun that for every scenario there was easy, medium, hard, and extra hard so it encompassed all of their audience, not just the casual player

My dream senerio in the Sims would definitely be like a Rags to Riches senerio where you start out with enough simoleons to buy like a tent or maybe not even a tent just like a sleeping bag or something and then you have to work your way to becoming a millionaire with the requirements to Have 1 Million Simoleons and to Complete All Asperations Under the Fortune Category.

I would love a become every occult scenario. You would have to become each occult and then reach the highest level, be cured (or have your powers revoked) abs then become the next one. That would be fun.

I tried a challenge, rags to riches with a big family. Mom, dad, teenager, three kids and a toddler. All they had was tents they could live in. Feeding the toddler was difficult without a fridge and highchair, but nobody died.

So so many of your fans myself included have 4000 plus hours in the game, still to this day ,the only hard challenge I could not do by your rules was your original wolf pack, with the elder raccoon on short life span as the clock, totally vanilla no cheats etc. I have never seen it done by your strictest of rules, not even in your lets play a million years ago. I love it because I can't actually do it on short lifespan, but its a hell of a fun challenge. That is the type of challenge I love, one I might not actually be able to do.
