Well for the average gameplay it is not needed, but for the actual building of houses and lots part it is pretty much a neccesity.

@@lisag4588 - Free place, free rotate and resize aren't cheats. That's where she made things hard on herself. Nice houses can be built without moveobjects and those are things are basic game mechanics. They can even be done on console with simple button prompts and no cheats. If anything, moveobjects has caused problems, as Simsie pointed out herself. Looks without functionality are useless, and too many upload useless builds to the Gallery.

As a farmhand it is super not weird to have towels near the door, in fact, i highly recommend it, especially if you don't have a mud room.

I don't think f5 and alt account for cheating, its keybinds, thus feature of the game. Like how you can click on shift or alt on the roof thing and you can round it up. Its a feature, not cheating :)

Exactly. Even on console you can alt place by pressing the left trigger on Xbox to cycle through full tile, half tile, and free placing (idk what buttons for other consoles) and you can free rotate by holding both bumpers and moving the left stick. You can even size items up and down, I just don’t remember the exact buttons to do that, but all of those can be done just by pressing the correct buttons. Your don’t have to type anything into the cheats bar to activate them or anything so I don’t count them as cheats

I'm pretty sure she does this because ea doesn't allow alt placing when doing official builds. No move objects, no alt placing and idk about f5 but probably no f5.

Alt placing is not a cheat. bb.moveobjects IS a cheat. Make it so that there must be several trees, and each trees is actually at least 3 variously scaled and rotated versions of the same tree at the same location.

Your next challenge should only use objects once. Color swatches are fine. Roofs are fine. Walls are fine obviously. But everything else you can only use once

Can you fit 30 windows in a tiny house ? The 20 column part is not hard, as they don't need to be in/on the house. Have the house 5 tiles back from the front of the lot and place 2 double rows of 5 columns on the sides of the entryway and you are good.

She's stated a few times that for as long as she's living there there will be no house tours. A few years ago I think in her old apartment people would come up to her door all the time so she's trying to minimize risk of having people able to go on a reality site and guess based on floor plan

Yeah I agree. The game recognizes move objects as a cheat but as I said in another reply, console controls has buttons specifically mapped for alt placement and size up/down. So I don’t think those count as cheating at all. It’s a feature.

@@LeahDanielleeTTVThat was before she knew the actual EA rules. She just assumed based on what she saw in older builds. Ever since she got to build for a pack she mentioned that it's not actually what she thought, but it's actually much more complicated. In EA builds you can alt place but you can't do certain things that hinder performance like doors intersecting stairs or using certain objects.

When I was new to playing the Sims and first figuring out how to build I didn't use cheats so I wouldn't accidentally block anything because I just didn't know the thresholds! Now I use all the cheats and some light CC.

I feel like this should be a thing for all challenges. Do the challenge version then a version after without the challenge. Then do a side-by-side comparison. Feel like that's the only way to really get the challenge experience and see how different things are.

I have a Rags to Riches Idea I would love for you to try! Basically Rags to riches mixed with no mistakes. The premiss would be to make a finished house, but if you have placed an item you cant move it again. Only exeption is if you bought a cheap bed in the beginning you can upgrade it, but you have to place it a the same place as the old one! I would love to see you try this out, I feel like this is right up your alley!

However, I believe her parents tuxedo cat, Pogie, had been diagnosed with cancer, which she openly talked about in her recent sewer cat video. I believe Pogie then passed away a day or so later. At least this is what I've concluded from her KZfaq comments. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

@PSOVERWATCH-CLIPS I said that it is minimal. I have never had debug work and the size up/down only works sporadically. Move objects does work and along with the money cheat but there are a lot that do not work well with ps4. At least in my experience.

Others have said it before and I'll say it again - for me, it's not using cheats if you don't have to type in the bar. So alt placement, the keybinds to size stuff up, all not cheats. Can be used seperately from cheats, so, not cheats.

I love these hard-core challenges, always happy to see people suffer. But I don't thing that sizing things and alt placing is a cheat. Turning things isnt - and that works the same way as sizing. Move objects is, alt placing isnt. :D

I use moveobjects so much that I find myself holding alt the entire time- even when I’m not needing it. I don’t notice it until I try to actually use the grid and it just swirls around instead of clicking into place lol

The biggest problem with the moveobjects cheat is how much many "builders" rely on it solely for looks and never account for functionality. It really ticks off players to download useless crap from the Gallery. As an example, I got someone's rendition of The Burrow (the Weasley home) off the Gallery and the Sims living there couldn't even get up the stairs because multiple objects were blocking it. I had to gut it and start over, making massive changes to make it usable. If it's going to be submitted to the Gallery for others to use, functionality needs to come first. A lot of players are fed up with moveobjects ruining gameplay.

Don't forget you can shrink or increase the size of objects using alt [ ]. Can you put the goat and chicken signs on a fence or half-wall to create a makeshift sign?

ive also gotten sooooo used to building with cheats, and this makes me think that its a bit weird that after all these years bedside tables dont snap a bit closer to beds. we have so many objects that snap to other ones, but tables just sit awkwardly off to the side of the bed.
