But adding even just a little after you reach the 234f, is a significant amount of liquid that you had basically just boiled off. The temperature is critical to achieve the consistency of fudge.

The jello cake is awesome. It's my favorite cake to this day. Made for me by my grandma as a kid. It's definitely worth a try!

Oh yeah. My favorite ‘salad’ as a kid was what I always called ‘orange and yellow stuff’ aka Carrot Pineapple Salad: lemon jello, crushed pineapple and shredded carrots. We always had it for Thanksgiving since I hate cranberries and it goes so well with dressing, turkey and mashed potatoes. We’d take it to potlucks and inevitably have to tell them every time that ‘no, it doesn’t go with the desserts.’ 😂

I bet you could add gummy worms to the lime fudge when it’s partially set. To go with the ghastly green, you could do purple grape, with eyeballs as someone else said. For an orange and black theme, you could do orange (creamsicle) jello fudge, served with licorice bites on a tray. But I immediately thought of bringing to a Christmas part, with green (lime) squares, and red (cherry, strawberry or raspberry, pick your favorites) For Thanksgiving you could do cranberry jello fudge! And for Easter or Mother’s Day, lemon Jello fudge or peach jello fudge! (One of the red ones would work for Valentine’s Day; and for 4th of July, white chocolate, a red one, and blue raspberry jello fudge) What a versatile recipe!

Yes, he's done that for me too. I finally found the courage and time to make banana bread since I had leftover ripe bananas I probably wasn't gonna eat in their raw form. The first time came out horribly since I used too much baking soda but that second time came out amazing even though it was a bit more burnt on the bottom than I would've liked and I forgot the vanilla extract but all the sugar, cinnamon sugar, walnuts, and raisins I put in it compensated for that missing ingredient anyway.
