3 жыл бұрынLimescale on Taps? - Removing with Vinegar, Baking Soda Powder or Bicarbonate of Soda - Experiment. Easy method but not a convincing approach to removing hard limescale. There may be commercial products which will do the job better.

Sarsons malt vinegar (cooking) is only 5% acetic acid. You'll want to get 8-10% to use for cleaning.

May I ask, from which of the two substances used were the rubber gloves intended to protect you? I’m presuming it was not the sodium acetate reaction product itself as salt & vinegar crisp aficionados consume loads of the stuff.

Got any cuts or sensitive skin? Vinegar will be incredibly painful if so. 😫 Also it’s good practice to wear gloves when cleaning because you never quite know what the chemical reaction might be. Not everyone is clearly the expert that you are with chemical reactions/composition, and if the video creator is not wearing gloves some viewers won’t either. With great power, comes great responsibility! 💫

Acid(vinegar) + alkali (bicarb)=a salt + gas. As a professional cleaner I would not use those 2 items together; use citric acid+ white vinegar in water at around 10%, that will remove limescale. Citric acid+bicarb= bath bomb😊

Not much use to taps in situ is it.

Get a silicon bag, fill with white vinegar. Sturdy elastic band to hold it onto the tap. There are ways of phrasing things that are a little more gracious and less whiny: _“What would you recommend for taps in situ?”_

Takes too long and the results are not that great, its faster to just buy a new aerator, they are not that expensive
