This is my official review of the Limited addition Galaxy's Edge Cal Kestis "Modified" lightsaber staff from Disney parks! Here are 6 pros and 6 cons you are going to want to know about before looking to buy one of these aftermarket since the rumor is that they are sold out everywhere.

I think I'll stay with my Ultimate Works versions. Yes, they did cost WAY more than yours from Galaxy's Edge, but I like to be able to swap cores/chassis from Asteria or the Proffie. Plus, they're currently in stock.

If there was ever a saber that screamed, “Don’t buy me. Wait for a neopixel!” It’s this one. I’m seeing hella cons on this saber that a neopixel version wouldn’t have 😬

Can you imagine having that staff clipped to your belt? You’d become Jedi Master Quasimodo. Kinda cool that Disney sabers are including color change though. Would be nice if other sabers had that

It's honestly pretty cool that one half can be geen and the other blue for example but it's a bit too expansive for me

It is very cool…. But seems like it could have been better. For collectors it’s great but for enthusiasts it definitely falls short. But that’s Disney. If they were to take it to the highest level they would be asking a lot more. I think for the price it’s ok for Disney but I’m sure Artsabers will definitely up the ante. Thanks for a great personal review. Hope you had fun in Disneyland other then the saber fiasco.

Im maybe late as hell but hear me out, dip a Q-tip in some olive oil and rub it in the glue blobs that the stickers leave. Works like a charm :)

At least I don’t feel as bad not having grabbed one. They ran out while we were in line. We were there early but the people that came to the evening event on the 4th were screaming at the Dok Ondar’s staff because there were none available by mid afternoon, before the event even began.

Dude I got one around 3 o'clock on may 4th at Disney land went back on the 8th and got an other nd I was told they were sold out while in line but I still waited and paid off

Ideally, though, it would turn _cyan,_ like in the game (plus *Wookiepedia* says *Cal Kestis’s Lightsaber* is canonically cyan; or, at least, it used to say that, but I don’t know if it still does). 🤷🏻‍♀️

So Obi-Dad, it just occurred to me. Don't think I've ever seen you review a single saber from Ultrasabers, which is where I typically get my sabers from. Wondering if you've ever heard of them or gotten a saber from them.

Hey Wing, thank you for the question. That was actually the first website I ever came across when I was interested in Sabers. I never ended up putting an order in because when I added up all of the features I wanted the cost was going over $600 I think. You gave me a really good idea though, I’ll see if I can’t get my hands on one sometime this summer. Thank you so much for watching.

I recently gave ultra sabers a try a few months ago, despite their bad rep, when they were having a half off sale. I had pretty mixed results. We bought two sabers, and both had problems. I even had to send one back for repairs on my dime, even though it was a manufacturers defect We did eventually get it back, but it wasn’t put together correctly. I was able to DIY some things to get it working, though. Not the worst experience, but definitely my last purchase from them. Glad you’ve had a better experience Alpha Zero! 😄

I agree with your pro's and con's I mean it's super cool but I don't think it's a lightsaber I'm in a hurry to get because one it's ridiculously expensive and the legacy hilts are pricey enough as it is and I would want the first cal kestis lightsaber just the one and not the Saber staff but all the same it's still super cool

First of all, I love the fallen order Cal Kestis Lightsaber design … esp the one with the damage. ( one of my favorite in all of star wars … along with the Obi one thin necks and the Luke ROTJ versions. And while I think the design on this new saber is cool , this Disney version just looks like a plastic grossly oversized toy . But hey, thats just my opinion🤷🏼‍♂️. It just looks clunky and silly to me bro! Nevertheless , another good review 👍🏻👍🏻. ** I dont want to sound like I’m hating on Galaxies edge Sabers though. I do own a few that I enjoy . Some of them look very good BUT some look kind of cheap and oversized. Ultimately they cant hold a candle to Neopixel lightsabers

I have no regrets but I live in the uk so it’s rare I can get a saber unless I go back to Florida and i really love the box 😂😂 also its still in stock on the UK site so not as rare over here

It’s such a cool lightsaber set, but I’m a Dark Side by as you know. I’ll be passing on all these Limited audition sets as they all cater to Jedi sabers like the Ashoka limited set, the Obi Wan set, the Anakin/Obi set, the Luke/Leia set and the Temple Guardian set. I’ll pick up probably the Darth Sidious saber and the Darth Tyrannus saber if it’s in stock, but hasn’t been for months now. Also…final note, I’m still after the Asajj Ventress clone wars sabers that have been discontinued. Wanting both to connect them also.

I’ve seen the neopixel sabers for as low as $660, if you get a base lit it’s still better than the disney saber and seen them as low as $400 or less. It’s a classic case of pay for the name

Yeah, I’m not a fan. Not for the price and like the game, I would want the parts to be customizable like the blade colors. If I spend that much, I’m going neopixel.

What I dont like about this saber is that it isn't correct. In all official material (besides this saber) It shows that the only part of cals modified saber that is ceres is the second switch and her emitter, so having the cere sleeve just makes it inaccurate. Sure you can make the lightsaber in game look like this by just changing one thing, but it just isnt the right thing. Thats also why i dont buy sabers from any other companies, because theres always something with them that is just wrong.

I just can’t get behind any of these Disney or Hasbro savers. Embarrassingly oversized. Awful sound and motion sensor. For the price you can get a pixel set up with ample colour and sound font options.

After watching this I had the brilliant idea that maybe the savi’s end caps would work on the two halves! How brilliant! Especially since you can collect savi pieces in the game! Spoiler alert: they do not work 🫠.
