Love the video, but you shall always use a mask when handling the burnt of fiber paper. Or keep it wet. Its really harmful to breath in the dust. Please be careful ♥️

Love this video! Been wanting to use my micro kiln. Thank you for this tutorial. 🙏🏽 Question: May be a stupid question🤦🏻‍♀️…Can you put wire in between the glass parts to make the opening or will the wire melt? Much appreciated with any info.

Hi thanks for watching. I haven't tried this mostly because I am afraid to put metal in my microwave but if I had to guess I would say the metal would melt. Hope that helps.

That's what being in a hurry and not checking autocorrect gets. 😂 I meant tumble in a rock tumbler for a few hours. Just to make them softer around the edges. It would make them cloudy but you could coat with clear nail polish if you wanted shiny. Thanks for the tutorial!@@UpcycleDesignLab

You have to be careful because the grits in the polisher get into the hole in the bead, and set rock hard.

My microwave is 1500 watts. Is this ok?

Hi - I believe that should be fine and your kiln will just heat up faster. I would double check the instructions with your kiln but mine just say to use a microwave with at least 1000 watts. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching 😊

The thin type is shelf paper, and the thicker types are called fibre paper.

Great demo❤… Could this kiln be used in a toaster oven… it goes upto 250c… would not want to put kiln into my home microwave… thanks

Hi these kilns are made for microwaves so I don't think they would heat up correctly in a conventional oven or toaster. Also it could damage the kiln itself so I would not recommend it. Thanks for watching.

Have you ever thought of using aloe vera or glass glue so you can just fuse it at once time? I can tell you care about the environment, so I'm sure using half the electricity by only doing one fire would be appealing to you.

I have only tried glue once or twice but it seemed to burn off before the glass fused. But it would be worth testing. Thanks for watching 😊
