Every other video I've seen on replacing that fuel filter they say you have to remove that inlet hose clip and 9 times outta 10 they always break. You're the first person to say it's actually a push tab. I just picked up a 2010 Crown Vic P7B and I plan on going thru it and changing all the fluids and stuff so all your panther content has been helpful.

1991-2002 use 5 quarts of engine oil. 2003+ use 6.0 quarts. I run 6.5-6.75 quarts in my 2003+ and have for years. What is your thoughts on "over-filling" the engine oil by 1/2 a quart to 3/4th a quart in these 4.6 2 Valves?
@FordBossMe3 жыл бұрын
I've never tried it and I don't know what the limitations are but you seem pretty smart and you know that if you get the oil level 2 are you'll get that crank slop and it'll actually start pushing it up to the crankcase ventilation and all kinds of smoke comes out and everything else I've never thought about going a little bit more my vehicle doesn't burn any oil to any kind of noticeable measurable amount

Why not disconnect power to the fuel pump while running the injector cleaner? Doesn't it strain the pump running it against the obstruction, or is it regulated and shuts off at a set pressure?
@FordBossMe3 жыл бұрын
It doesn't cause any harm to it it just slows the pulse-width modulation down to the pump that would be like sitting there with the key on but the engine not running and people do that stuff all the time

Is it ok to put the oil flush in if you have oil that has a 1000 miles on it it looks like you put it in on dirty oil but you change your oil pretty frequently and it looks like you have flushed it before . I'm not sure if I should start with brand new oil put it in flush it then change it again.

Absolutely you can put it in with the oil that's already in the engine regardless of how many miles are on it just make sure you flush it before you put your new oil in

Why not do the FI service and engine flush at the same time, and save time, running the engine ? Motorcraft oil is supposed to be really good from what I've read I wouldn't hesitate going 4k on quality full synthetic, no additives I go by when the oil starts to look dirty and don't obsess over the miles one way or the other.

Jason just because you were able to get away with something doesn't mean it's a waste of time, you got to be bigger than yourself here you got to realize that just because you didn't do something in your negligence doesn't mean it's good for somebody else and you're talking to a professional right now so you better put a little respect on that
